All I can say is wow, our internet service has been sketchy and well I called last night to place a service call for repair. no calls today, I called twice and no booking yet...Going to call tomorrow and hopefully they schedule us in by Friday as they are closed Sat/Sunday.
DH & I tidied us some of the basement that has become a dumping grounds, will finish the rest tomorrow.
DH got an automated message yesterday saying that the EA (educational assistants) union is voting to accept or strike......gr
AND dh has also been trying to contact someone since last Wednesday at the school board, he dropped in last Tuesday and has left messages everyday but no one is returning his calls gr....Since dh did not let the school board know he was taking a leave of absence they blocked him from the substitute list AND that is why he is desperately calling to try and reach someone who can remove the block....
Just another perfect examples of not to count your eggs before they hatch (dh's UTV purchase) based on income tax refund....let's just say dh is crapping his pants now. And I will admit the extra income would be a blessing but I personally was not basing our finances on his income just yet as who knows how many calls he would get in a month, most likely no calls in September and with his 4 weeks of hunting that brings us to November.
Besides that nothing new except trying to get organize and on a routine with back to school2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Hello folks!
I was a little tired today. (I know, I know!) I went with dh to get a few groceries and got my hair cut/tinted - all for $27.50 plus a a $5.00 tip. I got the same young woman that I had the last time. She is VERY conscientious. BUT VERY SLOW! and nervous. But a lovely young artistic woman.
The dogs got their hair cut today too. Poor MAX gets his ears plucked! So he spent a lot of time madly shaking his head. We have to keep him less active so that he doesn't hurt his back again. So I gave him a Benedryl and then he settled down and slept. I actually DROVE them to their favourite place to "do their thing" tonight as the secondary favourite place has been sprayed with pesticide. MAX couldn't have handled the walk tonight to 1st favourite place. (Crazy about my pooches??? - I know!)
We have appointments to get estimates on the sidewalk over the next couple of days, DH has to go to the dr. in another town for a shot he gets every 3 months. We also have an appointment to get the basement restoring guys to evaluate what might be mold in our basement.
We had a discussion and agreed on which walls will be painted which colour (finally.) Compromise being the key here.
The neighbour's dog got out and paid us a little visit on our back porch. (Luckily neither of our dogs noticed or there would have been an uproar.) I snuck out the back and went after him as he likes to "check-out" the pond. He went for a little swim on July 1st just before his family was expecting company! Stinky poo! His name is AXE and our dog is MAX - so no one ever knows who's calling whom. He came loping back and his owner took him home. He has promised a few times to fix that hole in his fence. I'm just afraid AXE will end up on the main road which is just at the other side of our street. He thinks I'm his "aunty," I swear, as I'm always "catching" him when he gets out.
Oh how horrible the Blue Jays are playing tonight!
I took advantage of the "Blog" post of "Severe Weather Emergency Kit" from the Source and bought one for each of the people I love for a stocking stuffer. All the weird weather we've been having - you never know when you might need one.
Well, Nat, I may be up with you tonight as I don't feel very tired. I picked up on a book that I had been reading before I went on holiday and it's getting really exciting.
I finally found found the "booter-upper" cable for my phone and tablet and Kindle. All I had left was our lap-top. And dh likes to use that.
Well - going to watch some TV and drug the dog before he goes to sleep so he doesn't wake up in pain or itching.
Good night folks!

Just catching up on everyone's busy posts!!
Having a craptacular week, started the week with a gallbladder attack and it is still very uncomfortable.Waiting for my surgeons referral to call for an appointment. It has been an ongoing issue but if I am careful with my diet I usually manage the symptoms. Damn you chili made with hot Italian sausage!
I haven't been feeling great and am still waiting to see the specialist for vascular issues. I have been having some left shoulder pain in the last few weeks so mentioned it to my doctor on Monday and she ordered a stress test and I am going tomorrow due to a cancellation. Hoping it isn't more cardio issues, I have been really living healthy but sometimes you just can't fight the genetics. my father had his first heart attack at 30 and the fifth one killed him at 52....but I have been very proactive with my health and follow ups and it isn't 1970, medicine has come so far, we are lucky to live in a country with health care.
Angela I hope your baby girl is fine and the issue works itself out, you and Granger have both been so awesome sharing your baby journeys.
Well off to get some rest,I want to really push myself on the treadmill at the hospital tomorrow!!

Good Morning All,
Good news is it is Thursday, bad news is it is Thursday, this week has totally gotten away from me and very little has gotten done. Anyone else notice when you have one bad night of sleep it effects you for days? Could not sleep Monday night and even though I slept Tuesday and last night still feeling so off and so tired. Last night I did clean up the kitchen and turn on the dishwasher and take a few boxes to my room to pack up my stuff so I can move my old furniture out and move the new furniture in but that is where it ended, I saw my bed and it was all over.
Thinking we might grocery shop since Mom is working this weekend, see quite a few things I would not mind picking up as we are running low on the basics: Milk, Yogurt and Fruit. Will take a closer look tonight to see what is on sale and what we need.
Have a great day everyone.

Hello again! So much happens when I'm away at camp, and I think I'm finally caught up.
Angela, I hope and pray our little one heals perfectly without any other medical intervention...I can't begin to imagine how frightening that must have been for you.
No camping this weekend, Hubby and our SIL are in the club championship golf tournnament, so I'll be a golf widow all weekend...or mostly; they get back after the dinners since they don't hang around drinking into the night. DH may have one beer at those events...more likely a coke...SO, I'll have to find a way to keep out of mischief. I am having lunch with a friend on Friday, so that'll be fun...probably at a new Finn McCool's that just opened in our end of town.
Have you ever had really, REALLY vivid dreams where you were in the dream but were thinking that you had to remember a detail? Well! This morning I was dreaming of seeing a ship's plate with the worlds, "Crystal Endeavour" on it. Naturally I woke up and jumped on the computer thinking 'no one would name a ship crystal!"...and no one did. But there actually is something with those words, but it's all chemical stuff and I don't understand what the heck it is, or why I felt the need to remember it! Wow. Dreams can be so weird. And in the same one, a couple came up to me, who I knew (but don't) and showed me pictures they had just taken. Well, up pops this glass box, and the pictures they had taken were 3D images! Not like holograms, but as if I was looking into a glass box at a real object!
I'm going to have to tell our Grandson about this: it's something he's just GOT to invent in the future!! LOL!!!
After all that I'm finally ready for coffee. But that was so exciting!! I know...doesn't take much.
Thriftygranny, oh my gosh, isn't getting old so much 'fun'? I tell ya, it's "Whack a Mole" time! One issue pops up, we whack it down, then something else pops up, etc, etc....!! Good luck with your stress test...My Dad also had several heart failures before he passed away from a stroke, and I've been under close supervision with our doctor lately to prevent the same thing happening to me: heart failure. My BP has been very elevated, legs swelling, etc, so tests revealed nothing wrong with my heart, thank God, but I do have vascular problems in my legs (as you say, can't fight genetics!), and he informs me that OHIP doesn't cover vein injections anymore, like I had done many years ago!!! Why for heaven's sake?! So anyway, you'll love this....it's time for old lady elastic stockings!! Remember those?! He told me that they've come along way now when I whined, and said they look like regular knee-hi stockings now (sure!). So I pick up my orthoditcs today, find old lady shoes to wear them with (that Dr said sneakers that accommodate them have come a long way now...you can tell I whine about old lady stuff), so the hunt will be on later today. So here I am: old lady stockings and old lady sneakers! Just, puh-lease, keep me away from velcro closures!!! Here goes my dignity into the toilet.
Thriftygranny, I wish you all the best; I absolutely feel your pain and I hope and pray that you stay safe and healthy!
To everyone:
