You can find all kinds of wackos in Walmart. Why? I have no idea. Recently a guy was unhappy with customer service and pepper sprayed the employees. And some of the customers got hit with the spray as well. Wackos everywhere!!!

Wackos indeed. A few years ago I saw a customer throw a bedding set at the Walmart cashier after some arguing and then just walked away!! All of us in line just stared at the customer with our dropped jaws. I feel sorry for cashiers who have to deal with ignorant and rude customers.

Walmart's security should have stop that person from leaving the store and check the cashier for any injuries, if there is such, that person can be sue pretty badly for injuring others.

People can be very scary ..... never know when they just might have some mental health issues or be off their meds.....

Lecale is right in that we see it on the roads all the time .... someone in a rush that constantly tailgates.... best offence is a good defense - just get out of their way.

Cashiers definitely need good training in how to diffuse those kinds of situations - like simply having the sign put up that their lane is closed; calling for another lane to open when they close off theirs.

Sorry it happened to you cinpow. Hang in there

I am sorry this happened to you. Cashiers definitely need more training! I worked for Walmart before. I was put on the till with NO training. A csm (I think) stood behind me for a couple minutes my first time, then she left me there all alone. I did have prior cash experience at my last job, but she did not even teach me how to use the paging system if I needed help.

The police should have been called and that man arrested. Totally unbelievable.

Don't feel bad, you did what you could! Poor planning on the store's part and jerks mixed to make that situation happen.

I get into fights with checkout jerks every now and then. Last time, it was a dude who cut in line in front of a 90ish year old man with a walker who could barely stand. Everyone in line was staring but no one else thought the need to shame him the jerk out of line.

I hate how people will stare but not speak up when someone is being treated badly. Glad the store manager did in your situation, but where was Walmart security?

It's not just Walmart, same can be said about Costco, other grocery stores and high end restaurants.

I agree with the Costco cashiers, they are horrible at my store. They act like they are doing me a favour for ringing my order through.I always say hello, how are you today and 90% of them just glare at me. I can't believe I don't see more people losing patience.

Why is someone else's time more important than your money ?

You are using coupons to save your money & someone else ( behind you ) is angry bcoz he/she thinks you are wasting his/her time .

Turn around & Ask them "what makes you think your time is more important than my money ?"...they can pay you in cash for the cpns you are using if they want & then you won't use the cpns if they really want to speed up things ..LOL.

"I have $ 20 in cpns, feel free to pay the cashier $ 20 bucks on my behalf, and I will gladly throw these cpns in garbage right in front of you ! That should speed things up " .." Do you want to take up on that offer ?" That should shut them up and embarass them in front of everyone

They can go to a self checkout , shop online or use the express lane or whatever when they shop @ various stores if they don't have the patience and time

That is just low-down and awful. Why did they feel the need to open their fat yaps at all? I've never been in a store lineup that took *SO LONG* that I was compelled to openly complain, and rudely at that, over someone trying to save a few bucks, and a cashier struggling to input the right codes. What a couple of horse's asses!
... if I'd been in that lineup, the fight would have been between me and Bigmouth, I'd have defended you and the cashier to the death

Usually at situation like this I will just keep quiet, but this time it was so bad I just can't hold it in anymore. The guy even walked all the way to the front to tell me to take my coupons and go, Seriously if the store manager didn't show up in time I think I would have been in a fight already. Man, some people just cannot mind their own business. The thing here that made me felt so bad is the poor cashier broke down and cried. The store manager had to escort her to the back room. I just left without buying half of the stuff and the store manager apologized to me for I don't know what. It should be that couple who should be apologizing. So the issue here was the cashier wasn't sure how to process the FPC and waited for a long time for the CSM, but there was only one CSM at the time and she was covering at the CS desk. So basically, the cashier wasn't getting any help. Few cashiers came by and was telling her different things and got her very confused. To a point that I just told her to skip the FPC, but there was something in the system that needed the CSM to override before she can do anything else. SIGH!!! BTW, there was another lane open on the other side. In total, there was two big lanes and all express lanes available.
