Hello,
I have been looking for a charity to donate food/personal/cleaning items to that give charitable donation receipts. I understand quite a few Canucks do so and are able to get a receipt claimable at tax time as long as you show valid receipts with the items purchase value. I have been looking at getting into doing so, I donate a bit now and have yet to find a location in the Ottawa area that do so.
Anyone have any insight, am willing to travel within an hour to donate. The charity I used to donate my cleaning supply surplus to has shut it's doors and am wanting an outlet to help others in need.
Any info is good info. Thanks very much, Have a good weekend! This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Hi! I'm in Ottawa too. I've heard that the Food Bank is really good for giving receipts, and their warehouse is (as far as I know) in St. Laurent. I would recommend calling first to make sure, but they're a great charity that helps a lot of people. Thank you!
