Coupon Swap - November 13/11 - Tim Hortons next to Gloucester Center

I've just sent out a call letter to my friends asking if they are interested in helping me prepare a Christmas Hamper. I've been doing this for the past couple of years, and it's extremely rewarding
I have a family already - Adult female, Adult male, boy (12), boy (5) and girl (3). They've been hit with some very hard times the last couple of years and could really use a hand.
I have a small stockpile I can draw on, but I'm missing some things. I'm wondering if some of you have different items in your stockpiles that we could trade.
I have:
razors
men's shave foam
men's deodorant
Neutrogena face cleansers (travel size)
small lotions
maybe some other things I can't see!!

I don't know what others have… but I'm thinking:
-laudry soap
-fabric softener
-dish soap
-dishwasher detergent
-toilet paper
-shampoo (I have some travel ones though)
….plenty of other things I'm sure.

If anyone is interested - pm me, and maybe we can work something out. I'd like it ready to give by the end of November.

How do in person coupon swaps work? How do you trade with so many people at once?

How about we all try to at least update our wish lists. I will try to look at them and see if I have anything… Maybe even do some 'trades' ahead of time, and just exchange the envies??
Otherwise - not sure!

My plan is to bring all my coupons and all my extras. I suspect what we will do is first is I will give everyone the inserts I promise and then people will go through what they have to offer and vice versa. I suspect one person at a time will offer things.

I also think that everyone should bring a pile of coupons they don't want and we can put on one table and people can go through and take what they want.

No set plan but I will figure out a way to do it all.

Tried to e-mail everyone, but if you didn't get it...

We are meeting this Sunday at 1pm at Tim Hortons next to Gloucester Center.

I will be arriving around 15 min early to ensure we have enough seats.

I would like to ask for time sake, that you seperate all coupons you have that you do not want seperately from the rest. We will have a box full of coupons we don't want and everyone will get a chance to go through and take what they want. (I will make sure it is fair).

Any leftovers I will donate to a charity.

Also - make sure you have a wishlist with you and if you do not have many coupons to trade (other than the unwanted ones), bring stamps, small gc's or fpcs.

Can't wait to see you and pm me if any other q's.

no worries. I have decided to have 2 prizes. One for coupons and one for freebies! I also have 2 more people coming. We are going to have a fairly large group! Yeah!

Heads up! If it looks like their won't be enough room at Timmys for us, I may move it to the food court in the glouester centre.
