ARG!! Don't you hate it when people have every excuse in the world for not doing something? It's like they sit at home think of a list of excuses.... "Ohh i was too busy working on something else" "ohh my bad, i didn;t have the time" But, yet i see them chatting with others for literally 30 minutes about personal topics!! Uhh rant over. thx.

I agree. Especially if the same individuals were the ones super-enthused to offer to do something or wanted to help then when the time comes, use the "I'm busy" or "I forgot" lines. Time to use the "talk to the hand" line in response.

I live this every day! I tease my one roommate about 'The Excuse Factory,' as in, "Wow you've been pulling double shifts at the factory this week! How about you just clean up after yourself like you've been asked?"

... then comes the barrage of additional excuses!

I had tossed out some Corning Ware serving bowls in 2014 as part of the bid to reduce dishes that are left unwashed when used by other family members after they have their fruit/noodles/chips. Just two days ago, sibling asked what happened to the those other bowls? I told him and he did not acknowledge having contributed to the situation at all.

I have learned when it comes to undone dirty dishes piled up by others...I wash only 1 bowl, 1 plate, 1 fork, 1 knife, ect...when needed by me. I don't give a crap about nice image. If you don't do your share of house work don't complain. I am not a house elf. If you live here, you should take turn to do dishes/chores.

I have in the past said "you live here, don't you? You are not in a hotel." Also when asked "do WE have ......?" I say, "you live here, don't you? You should know where the .... would be if there was any to be used."

This year, I have to not get involved in others' situations. Hard shift but moving in that direction. 2016 is putting the
lock on that.
