Hello Canucks!
So this past Saturday, DM and I stood in the -2 degrees for an hour and a half for our first Crayola sale! We got up at 4:30am to leave Oshawa by 5 and get to Lindsay by 6-6:30. So we finally got inside and the building was so big, that i really don't understand why we all had to stand outside to wait. Why couldn't they have let us in to wait inside? Aaaanyways, as my DD is only two,I didn't really find the sale worth it for me. There were lots of craft kits and some really neat products, but 90% of what was there was just too old for y little. That being said, i did grab some basics that i think she'll be able to use right now or very soon.
As far as the prices went, i was some what disappointed. The big colouring sheets were $3.50, compared at $3 at Dollarama, for one thing. So here is what i got...
From what i remember...
1 fill a bag crayons $5
1 fill a bag markers $8.50
Plastic bin $6 ( I believe was previously $5?)
4 small doodle pads .25 each
1 large doodle pad
1 Frozen colouring book with stickers
1 mess free finger paints
1 10 pack paints
3 packs of paint brushes
1 project glue
1 3 pack glue sticks
1 pair of scissors
1 pack of water colour paints
1 crayon tin $1
Paid $47 for everything, took $80 with me. The Silly Putty eggs that i believe were previously .10 each were like $1 each this time. Didn't see any bath crayons or lap pads. We were in and our in less than an hour and actually, looks like we could have showed up at 9am and skipped the line and the cold, there was still lots of everything left by that time. I can see how this sale would be great for teachers, day care providers or anyone with more than one child, but for me, i won't be back until my daughter gets old and/or we have another kid! This thread is currently associated with: DollaramaLast edited by lindon; Tue, Oct 20th, 2015 at 03:25 PM.
