I've given up on bonus redemptions. Been doing a $170 redemption about once a month. It's great! Did one this weekend. Earned back about 9000 pts from personal offers and vib. Maybe not be the $200+ redemption value I used to bank on, but it's still fantastic! I had some killer redemptions in the first half of the year when you'd get your big personal offers even if you redeemed, so I think it all evens out. I still have 4+ redemptions and earn more points every week. No way I'm stopping shopping there while the benefits are this good.

We work the system to the fullest. They don't really "owe" us a bonus redemption. Even at $170 it's still awesome!

Personally, I know what you mean here, and kudos for your redemptions. However, that in bold can be taken out of context

all I mean by that is, spend the least amount of money for the maximum reward. All the little tricks to maximize the benefits. Buy gift cards for purchase for extra points. If you need to spend $75, spend $75, not any more if possible (you don't get bonus points on extra money spent). I only shop when I get bonus points, and I only redeem at highest levels. That's all I mean by work the system to the fullest. Might not be for everyone, but it works get for me!

Like I said...I understand what you meant. I concur with your strategy also, and always make sure I don't go over a $1 of what I have to spend before tax
