Pasta with butter, some chili flakes and some garlic (sautéed or raw/minced, your choice) might help or get some takeout/frozen pizza and call it supper. Give the Buckley's a pass and drink all the pop or sparkling juices you can get. Yes, eat and drink like a teen to see if your body rallies off cold #3.) .....



Wonderful sunny but chilly day-overdid the walking yesterday so there are aches. If I could make like a cat and find a nap spot in a cozy nook and a box of doughnuts with a cup of tea, I'd be there!

Yes, we did our own laundry and fended for ourselves for dinner most nights. Child of a single working mother I worked all the time too and so did my sibling so no one was ever home lol.

@cath007 -what lizziebargain suggested-contact your Internet Service Provider. Maybe it has a server or service problem too.
Sometimes I've tried to log into Yahoo and while it seems to log in, the screen does not advance. Then I find out a day or two later that Yahoo had a problem to contend with.

Speaking of ISP-seems sibling is getting the Internet connected today. Not expecting to benefit from it--still miffed over the winter disconnection.

Have a Kijiji purchase underway-seller received my payment by mail. Magazine is going out. Another week and it'll be here.

Have a pork roast in the oven right now. Making tomorrow nights dinner now. Will toss a load of laundry on once teen is home from work so I can wash his stuff too. Not doing to much else. Lazy night.

-well went to the eye specialist today -guess what this appt was made a year ago and I got there on his door it stated he is gone and this new doctor took over -this is his number -well called the number and no answer left a message(I researched the doctor when I got home and don't care to have him -so called my family doctor and I needed the paperwork I wrote down in front of me -but I was at my son's as he needed me to drive him/ashlyn to pick up his vehicle -soooo frustrated -I will call my family doctor on Wednesday morning

-then went to fortinos before I picked hubby up -their clearance is all 30% off now -ticked that they got rid of the 50% health and beauty items

Wednesday, one step closer to this week being over. I am having serious sleep issues and do not have anything to take, will see if Mom can grab me something today as this is getting insane. I think I spent more time awake last night then asleep. Plus side is as I lay there I get brilliant ideas but I would much prefer the sleep. Wondering if it is stress related, seems like every time I turn around lately there is something new on my plate. Hopefully this will calm down soon once they find my replacement at work.

My cousin showed up at work yesterday, weird since his branch is 3 hours away, a close family friend passed away yesterday morning. I know him but was not close but my cousin and uncle were extremely close with him which worries me neither of them handle these things well and there actions when these things happen are not always good.

A sign of the times changing at work I am being brought in on things I never would have in the past. I should have had 2 meetings today but looks like one won't happen as the timing will not line up for everyone needed to be here but it looks like there are tons of changes to come at work which is exciting but now we need to work through how they will be handled.

Morning! DS son's classroom is collecting food donations for the food bank. So I loaded up his backpack and he could barely lift it lol. Told him I would drive him but he said he was fine to walk the few blocks to school. Brought a fancy protein salad (ready made) that I bought at RCSS. Reg price was $5.99 but they were all marked down to $1.94 (end of Nov expiry date) so I had to try one to see what the fuss was. Would not pay $5.99 ever. Worked great since I didn't have any leftovers for lunch today so perfect day to bring it.

Yup it happened here too Natalka! We had some light rain last night that turned to snow, and strong winds so the highways should be polished and slippery. Anxiously waiting to here from my daughter she left at 6 am for her 45 minutes commute to college.
Oh coupongirl what a discouraging day for you, how hard would it have been to email patients rather than waste their time going to imaginary appointments. I hope today is a better day for you and you can find a specialist you like.
Off to get my flu shot and have some blood work done this afternoon, I hope I have time to stop at at the fabric store, I have been using the same night gown pattern for my granddaughter for 5 years, just altering it but it is time to buy a new one, patterns are so expensive I like to get my money's worth!!!
Well November is flying by which means Christmas will be here before I know it, I am feeling a bit unorganized this year, I have lots done but I have a few more projects I would like to do!!
My husband got an elk yesterday and we will have a very full freezer, you don't get drawn for elk in our area very often so we will savor it, they are really delicious. This means we will be spending the weekend butchering!!

Oh, I wish! I think all the oil would make my throat feel worse and I hate the feeling of fizzy pop on my throat when I'm well. I don't think the caffeine in pop will be good for sleeping, but then, I'm not sleeping much anyways....

Interested in a 2nd hand tree? I am seeing tons posted on Facebook mom swaps. You could always post "ISO" and I'm sure you will find lots of offers (and maybe free!) We had 3 trees in the storage locker we bid on this summer. I decided to keep one (I usually like real but wanted to put up earlier this year and save $ lol) Sold one and gave one away. People are always changing their minds/or downsizing so it may be worth a shot.

I did not think of a second hand tree! The only limiting factor might be the size of the car. Our car isn't much larger than our old hatchback. If it's all folded out, missing the box, etc. it might be really tough to fit unless it's in three pieces.

It's coming here in the next few days. Noooo!!! I've been wondering how it will be taking LO home in the stroller. It takes us 22 minutes to walk home from daycare currently. With snow on the ground, I have no idea how that will work. Once heavy snow comes, the plows bury the bridges so there will be no way except by bus as we have to cross a creek.

I packed an extra blanket for the stroller as it's pretty dark and cold now.

Well finally got our water back at 8.00 am after 4 days and now the lights are flickering, on and off ,gosh i'm going back to bed can't handle this right now no energy for anything

Went home on my lunch hour and cleaned the kitchen! I left it a mess this morning which is not usually like me. I even scrubbed the sink! Also put the rice in a pot so its ready to turn on when I walk in the door. Make gravy and steam green beans and dinner is served. Dishwasher filled and kitchen will be clean again Now to decide what to get ready for tomorrow nights dinner.
