Maybe some item was returned and they tracked it for some reason & deducted the cash back amount on that ?
Its not supposed to happen though from what I have heard , as I don't think they can or do keep track of returns ..or maybe they do, never used them, so I don't know.
Maybe its a new thing from them. What's their policy on returns ?

I'm not sure.. But did it drop by a lot, or just a couple dollars? Maybe you used a coupon on an offer that said not to be used with any other coupons? Just a thought..

What happened was I scanned in a dollarama receipt for smartfood popcorn. All the receipt said was chips. So I lost 4 dollars on checkout 51 for that

I guess there is no such thing as a free lunch. If it's not selling on your details to a 3rd party, it's taking back stuff they've given you. Still to pure coupon and FPCs that don't require giving your real details out

I resubmitted the receipt with extra pics of the product barcodes as part of the receipt.
This is the letter I received from them:
Unfortunately, the policy still stands that disallows us from accepting receipts with broad item descriptions. We cannot accept "Chips" for a Smartfood Popcorn offer for obvious reasons. Had their been barcodes on the receipt for cross-reference and identification purposes it might have been a different story, but we have nothing to tie the barcodes you clipped and submitted to me with the actual receipt.
We at Checkout51 realize that this is just the way that Dollarama logs their items in the system, but they are consistently incompatible systems we use to process a receipt. This is why I might suggest doing your shopping for Checkout 51 offers elsewhere, as you are likely to continue to encounter this issue and miss out on Cash Back - and we really don't want you to miss out!
I know this wasn't the answer you were looking for, but I hope you understand that this is our policy.
Let me know if you have any more questions.Jana
