Points On Perfume Gift Certificates

I don't know if this was already mentioned.. I don't use coupons much anymore but I still regularly shop at SDM. I have been getting the perfume/cologne gift boxes for years.. Normally I would redeem the GC along with whatever I was buying during another BP event. They immediately do the transaction separately now, when I asked them void and re-do it to humor me and just do it all together I only got 20x the points on the $80 I spent and not the GC on top of it. Kind of disappointed, the manager was doing sketchy things behind the register with a calculator whispering to the associate. I don't know if they did some kind of override, or you just can't get points on this type of coupon anymore. You used to be able to which was nice, and pretty much the only reason I bought them (Set was $80, perfume I want is $75 so it's not worth it spending an extra $5 for a box full of testers I can get for free from Sephora..)

I would think the GC would be considered the same as a FPC, would it not? Which unless there are specific points being offered for that product, would make it ineligible for other bonus point offers (20x, xxx wus $xx)

Did you mean you redeem the coupon for the full size? You only get points when you purchase the sample box, not when you redeem the coupon though, otherwise it's double dip! If not then it was weird you wouldn't get the points when you buy the sampler box!

They never ever give or gave points when you redeem the full size coupon from the perfume sampler. You pay for the sampler and get the points when you purchase that and that's it.

Ive gotten them before unless by mistake.. Used the GC along with the minimum purchase during 20x the points (I was using it and also spending $80). Oh well lol

100% mistake! You gained by the cashier's mistake, must have entered wrong coupon code, ie 2001!

This would have only been once each Christmas for my hubby for the past few years, could have been the few times I did it the coupons were entered incorrectly.
