I have been tracking some items from November to Boxing day sale. Found 2 items that I wanted were cheaper in November, went up in Dec and are now the same price as the regular price in November except now it is "Boxing week sale price ". One was at Costco , a blue ray player went from 69.99 in Nov to 99.99 in December and is now back to 69.99 today. The other that was a Thomas toy that went from 15 to 25 and today as a boxing sale is down to $24, still more expensive than the Nov price

All the time, all types of stores. That's why it's important for us shoppers to do our due diligence!

The most recent example was Oldnavy.ca!
A pair of shoes were $15 on clearance.
There's now a code for 40% off clearance, so I went back to check and the shoes are now more expensive, even with the code. lol

i find black friday deals back in Nov were better than boxing day. Good thing my hubby got his cordless headset etc. in NOV and he just pointed out recently that the same stuff he bought in Nov are still less expensive than the ones advertised for Boxing Day even though they are "on sale" and some don't even go on sale.

I saw that at SDM last year or the year before. The Boxing Day price that people were filling their carts with had been cheaper in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

I noticed this too! I saw a laptop at Best Buy for $899.99. On Boxing Day, the reg price changed to $999.99, with a sale price of $849.99. So yes there was a sale of ~$50 but they made it look as though the discount was $150! Big difference lol

Same with Canadian Tire. Wanted to buy a vacuum at half off, before X-mas the price was $130, during boxing week price went up to $160.

http://www.amazon.ca/VICHY-AQUALIA-L...keywords=vichy
List Price: CDN$ 3,649.00"Freedom is a myth, love is non-existent and privacy is delusional! No right to live or die"
Like for me no apparent reason!
