Found this deal about a smart toilet seat,
http://smartcanucks.ca/izen-canada-b...free-shipping/
Looked through its website, seems pretty innovative products but I don't have any experience with a smart toilet seat. I'd be interested to have one, but would love to learn a little more about how it works from anyone who has used it before
many thanks and happy holidays! This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Asked some of my frds from Japan and seems like every family owns at least one.
They have these in restaurants and bars and even public toilets...
Seems like a civilized product.....

I installed one of these on my toilet, it was $60. They can install onto any ordinary toilet, they're pretty easy to install.
It sprays water at your butt. The more expensive models also come with a "feminine button" which directs the spray at a slightly different angle, but mine doesn't have that.
You don't have to use as much toilet paper.

This is pretty much just going back to the old ways of doing things.....guarantees a cleaner backside too. In some cultures, water is still the preferred way of cleaning backsides. Ablutions and all that, and this is why people usually only eat with their right hands (most people are right-handed)

Well after using this, I can confirm it does get you cleaner than toilet paper alone.
I don't know why bidets aren't common here. They're common in Japan, the middle east, and much of Europe.

Last year, prior to Chinese Lunar New Year, Chinese shoppers in Japan were snapping up all kinds of modern toilets and bidet options during shopping sprees due to the yen's exchange rate being weaker. http://www.cnbc.com/2015/03/04/why-c...-in-japan.html
Over the recent Chinese New Year holiday electronic toilet seats were the third most popular item among Chinese shoppers in Japan, even outperforming rice cookers, according to a social media posting survey by Japanese big data analysis firm Hotto Link.
"The heated toilet seats are among our top selling items to Chinese customers – we have set up dedicated display areas for them in our biggest Tokyo stores," said Yasuaki Beppu, a spokesperson for Bic Camera, one of Japan's biggest electronics retail chains.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
