    -you and me happy birthday
    -merry xmas nat
-walks hope you feel better soon

-went to pop over to see ashlyn --she is a bit better -only I have a cold now (doesn't help that she coughed in my face a bunch of times when I was holding her mon/tue) I gave her a card and cardboard finger puppets and a nice white t-shirt from gymboyee(I paid 5.50) reduced plus 15% off -their clothing is so well made
-son asked me if I could watch her on Friday as well -they want to keep her home from daycare the 2 days this week -so Friday is day 5 of the croup- she may not be contagious but they want to be sure she is better before she goes to daycare next week -gee if every parent thought like that all these little ones wouldn't be passing it back and forth
-so my tree is still up will take it down when I feel like it I told hubby -gonna rest this afternoon

Went to NO FRILLS to grab water since it's better and cheaper for my teen to take to school then buying pop. And I had 200 pc pts per $1 spent.
Blue Menu Omega eggs were on clearance for .99 and I had personal offer of 600 PC Pts. (and received the 1000 pc pts for signing up for guiding stars offer) So 4200 PC PTS brings my PC MC Pc Pts total to $445 (just paid $1300 for winter tires and rims so more points will be added in the next few days

We missed some excitement on Tues night-there was a moose and her two calves strolling down our residential street within a couple of metres of our house while we slept-at least we caught the video on the news. Pretty weird to have to warn the neighbourhood kids to be on the lookout for moose while walking one block to the bus stop to go to school! Off to see the twins.

Years ago when we lived on the water we had one on our front yard. It stayed for hours and ate a huge tree/shrub! Big scary beasts!

Coupongirl: I would imagine your son and DIL are grateful to have you close, I still recall when Logan had croup. DH was away and I had my brothers kids so 4 kids under six. At 4 am I called my mom as I was thinking we were going to ER, she lives 2 hrs away but I knew my brother had it a lot so she was able to talk me down and help him. After it was over we both realized how nice it is when families are close. I still recall my gramma showing up in the morning to help us get ready for school while my mom would leave for work. Gramma worked nights in a nursing home, so looking back I can only image how tired she must have been.

Don't forget to load the guiding stars offer this week, you get 1000 pc points just for loading the offer, someone on the blog thread posted this a few days ago - So credit goes that person.

Today is going to be my low key supper, homemade French fries with leftovers.

Hoping to get out today if the inlaws are grocery shopping if not I'll shop over the weekend not much on my list I will admit but I need to get out of the house. I would like to stock up on meat this month, really hoping the lean ground beef comes on sale for $3lbs or there abouts.

My budgeting for this year is somewhat different than last years, we are putting all of dh's pays from his on-call school work aside for his truck maintenance and then going forward a lot a specific amount each month towards maintenance AND start putting the remainder of the funds in various accounts.

After listening to the news last night it appears that we will have to sit tight until the end of the month to hear if the bank of Canada will once again lower it's rate. I must have been hiding under a rock because I didn't realize the rate currently is 0.25%. I find it interesting that some mortgage lenders I believe RBC raised their mortgage rates last week which I don't understand given the current Bank of Canada's current rate . I have a call into my bank to see what they are currently offering as I could renew anyday should we choose to renew before our renewal is due BUT definitely going to hold off until the end of the month incase the rate drops again.

MIL just called so we are off to NF's, wishing everyone a great day.

    Good morning!

WAY too cold out here this morning, and tonight it's going to get worse - like -36 windchill overnight - GAH!

Staying in today, I've been doing some purging every day this week and that shall continue today. Not a lot, but every little bit helps.

    Enjoy the day, everyone!

Went through the fliers yesterday and stocked up on sale items like canned tomatoes, canned mushrooms, perogies, cheese, shredded cheese, butter, kids lunch snacks and juices, hash browns, ground pork, pork loin, smokies, hot dogs, kd, other pasta.

We got bad last year and bought more as needed whatever the price rather than as on sale and restocking.

We spent 214.80 but saved 102.78 yesterday.

I also figured it was handy yo have stuff at home so we can pull ftom the freezer and pantry. Bf doesnt like that he'd rather shop daily and it drives me crazy butwhen i buy dtuff so i dont have to...he uses it up on me.

Saw the eye specialist yesterday. He`s very pleased with my eye so I`m back on maintenance.
I earned 10000 PC Plus pts yesterday. Did the Guiding stars and also had offers on pears and bananas as well as bread and a few other things.
I had an excellent month at AnnaMae`s. I put up 4 afghans, 4 pot holder and towel sets, 3 oven mitt sets and 40 towels. Now I need to do towels for 2 other stores. So much for taking a break.

I was really hooping you would have gotten a break BUT your items are so much in demand that I was wondering how you would get a break.

Great job on the pc points, take care and make yourself a clone so you can get some rest (wink)

Great savings and I agree with you it's better to stock up when on sale especially for those items that you use regularly so it's a win in the end in my books and not to mention the amount you saved will pay off in no time to restock or stock up again.

Stocked up on tons of stuff that I will admit was not on my list but like @saundyl they are items we use often to grabbed them at sale prices.

I got 4 packs of ribs at NF but was frustrated as the limit was 2 per person so ran back in for another 2 pack for a total of 4 but wanted 5 but didn't want to run in a 3rd time oh well anyways nice to have something different on hand. I might see if I can pm at FreshCo on Wednesday while out.
