Everytime I try picking up a bunch of swiss chard or kale, there would be a small wiggling worm crawling frantically on one of the leaf. I have to stick with other non-leafy veggies.
I picked up a bunch of vine tomatoes at WM at $1.99 / lb, not as bad as I though; however, their green zuchini is $2.97/ LB.

I was washing a green pepper yesterday and it had cobwebs inside the bottom dips. :\

unfortunately if oil goes any lower, the dollar will tank more and we'll see more of the same. wish I had room for a garden.

BF wanted to buy cauliflower while we shopped at Walmart.
I laughed and glanced over to the produce fridge and gasped, "I don't think so!"
The were selling one head for $7.97, and they weren't even that large, not organic.

Oh the cauliflower... still craving it and still sold out of the frozen florets! Darn. And you notice those big ol piles of fresh cauliflower just sitting there because no one is buying them at 7-8 dollars. Sad.

Rcss in Ontario has cauliflower or $2.50 starting Friday. Probably trying to get rid of the $7 ones that nobody is buying

I would imagine their flyers are arranged much further in advance but I do think that study has become a self fulfilling prophesy in that stores saw they could charge $8 for cauliflower so suddenly did. The price differences between stores for items is crazy so unless they are doing huge loss leaders, the other stores are gouging
