Whenever I try to click the 'Thumbs Up' on a freebie post, it tells me I do not have permission to do it. What's up with that?

You were still listed as a newbie as you had not confirmed your account from the email sent at registration, but I moved you manually to registered users so you should be able to do it now.
If not, send me a PM and I will get a tech admin to look into it
