Hello Folks!
We have driven over 1500 miles and are in Denver. We MADE it! Only one glitch along the way. But everything has turned out well.
DH is finding the altitude a bit of a challenge to his breathing. We have been very sedate. I went out tonight and bought a dress for DH's sister's wedding in August. OH MY! Going off my diet has really meant that I will have to be careful if ANYTHING is going to fit me! Travel diets of McDonalds and Burger King and lots of sweets is NOT recommended to those who want to look svelt in 6 weeks!
DH's son is arriving tomorrow so we'll get to have the hold "DH" family together minus the SIL and his kids who are off at a baseball tournament.
Thanks again for following our journey! Best wishes for your health and happiness!

Latest update, the altitude of the "Mile-High" city was too much for DH. He was having a lot of trouble breathing and so we had to head home early. We are in Kansas City. We had to miss some of the family but had some quality time with our grand-daughter and her mum(and also 3 snuggly doggies.)
He is certainly feeling better physically but sad not to have had more time there.
Take care everyone!

I was so sorry to hear that, Avon...your poor Hubby. I'm glad he's feeling better now that he's in a lower altitude but I can imagine his disappointment. Well...they'll just all have to visit you two this summer when the kids have some time off.. Hugs to your Hubby from me!
Take care, Sis!! Love you!

Don't forget that it's always important to read the instructions first,
Cause once the assembling is locked into place, it cannot be reversed,
If you shop at Ikea, you'll know all about following instructions to the letter,
On a personal note I'll tell you that you will just feel a whole lot better,
Detailed instructions have been known to leave you scratching your head,
& if it gets to be too darn much, then just retire to a nice comfy bed,
Good luck with your endeavours & in whatever activity you may choose,
It also helps if the background music is a damn fine mix of blues!

Sorry to have been AWOL for so long!
Life has been very full and exciting!
First our wonderful news! After a challenging trip to Denver where dh had trouble breathing, we arrived home and Dh had his CT scan.
It came back as a "significant " reduction in the presence of cancer- over 50% reduction! 😀!
He had had 2 tumors in his lung and one has completely disappeared! !! The other is down to a small spot.
He has had a lung scan and tomorrow will have an echo-cardiogram. This is to check if the chemo has had any negative effects wrt blood clots or heart issues. The lung scan came back fine.
By the time we move two weeks tomorrow, I will have performed 3 weddings and prepped for 3 more.
We are quite advanced in our packing.
AND we have adopted (actually long term fostering ) a lovely senior "puppy " called Maxx. He is a poodle-shih Tzu mix whose life -long owner had to move into care.
You never know what life brings your way at the beginning of a day
My brother here who has CP is moving to Kitchener -about 6 blocks from our other brother's family.
Everyone is excited about moving!
We have been saying"Goodbye " to long-time friends and church family.
A new chapter in our lives!
Thank-you, once again, my dear SC friends for all the thoughts and prayers you have sent our way!!!
Back in February, we felt that we might be dreaming to think that he might walk his sister down the aisle at her wedding in Aug. But tomorrow we'll be shopping for his suit!
It's wonderful!
Bye for now, I'll try to keep you updated more often
