It is a solid teak wall unit and I do not think it will come apart easily. If bro was more co operative I would try to talk him into doing it but yeah that happen.

There's a Valentine's Day card slide show in this link that might make SCers smile for a bit.

I just spent a couple hours at my friend/neighbour's house. She sent me home with cod fish fillets because her meal plans changed. We'll have it for tonight's supper, maybe with home made potato wedges and frozen broccoli. She also sent me home with another grocery bag full of clothes for baby boy.
I weighed myself this morning and I lost another 4lbs in the last 7wks. I'm happy with that. I've got another 6lbs to go & then I'll be back at my pre twin pregnancy weight. My stay stomach measure my is the same as last time.Last edited by Angela273; Wed, Feb 3rd, 2016 at 01:52 PM.

Treated myself to a Timmies coffee on my way back to work (free with GC I received for Christmas) Roll up the rim has started!

@SassyAshley sorry that your mom is not pulling her weight so to speak.
There is only so much a person can take before they snap and it sounds like eventhough it will be uncomfortable you need to tell her how you are feeling.
I don't know the extent of your health problems but stress works in mysterious ways that add to certain ailments.
I am not going to tell you what to do as it seems you needed to vent and we all do that from time to time, however, I am offering a suggestion (this was given to me by my shrink) and you will have an ah ha moment well atleast I did
People can only take advantage of you if you ALLOW them TOO (it's so simple and true).
AND People will treat you as you allow them to treat you.
And taking advantage of someone can come in a thousand different formsLast edited by jasperandchar; Wed, Feb 3rd, 2016 at 02:37 PM.

Well she surprised me, she cleaned the bathroom and took out recycling so I took out the garbage.
Thinking I might tell her if she is going to her friend's that she needs to try to make arrangement with bro and a friend or half bro to come take it apart for us. My bro would probably have it done in an hour easy plus with their muscles out of the house in no time.

Had to see my kidney specialist in London yesterday. He was happy with my creatinine levels...They`ve come down 21 pts in the last 3 months. Not so happy with other blood work...had to get more done. I`m ticked off at our friend`s lady friend. She drives people for a living and she offered to take me...that was fine. She wouldn`t let me pay her, finally agreed that I could at least pay for gas. We went for lunch and I was going to pay for that. I always do if I`m out with someone and they drive. She left the table and asked for the bill and paid it before I knew what was going on. I can afford to pay my way and don`t like to feel I owe anyone anything. It`s not like we`re friends or anything although she seems to think we are. I kept my distance from her when she lived with Doug because there was something I didn`t like about her. I spent the day listening to her talk about how abusive her ex was, how she left with nothing, her kids won`t talk to her. By the time we got home my head was spinning...she never shut up for a minute. I went to bed and slept 12 solid hours. I just got out of a relationship like this with my former neighbour, really can`t handle getting into another one.

Went grocery shopping this afternoon. OMG!!! I have never spent that much at once in my life...over $200. I knew I would have no problem getting to $75 for my PC pts offer but they had so many things on sale...Kraft PB 2.49, back ribs 2.99...I bought 3 packs, one for next Monday when we have company and the other 2 will get split and frozen. That will give us 9 meals. We also needed frozen veg...hubby will only eat Green Giant peas and corn 2/$5. Canned veg were also on so got some creamed corn. Chapman`s ice cream novelties were also on sale...that is our afternoon snack while watching TV. Stouffers meals were on for 1.99. I don`t make my own lasagna so I stocked up on those too.
Hope I won`t need to buy much next week.

^ Oh, sorry you had that toxic experience...
About the shopping - once in a while, that just happens - to spend a big chunk. I like to think it evens out.

Sounds like you got a lot for your money, stocked up and lots of good sales so all in all it balances out but shocking when you are not expecting that amount none the less.
Kind of the friend's lady friend to drive you BUT maybe her paying the bill was an exchange of sorts for having someone to listen. good luck
Great news about your kidneys must be a relief.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!
