Is your aunt the only surviving child?

I am sorry for your loss OP.
Sorry to hear that your aunt and cousin took the steps they did.

If it helps, you can arrange to gather the remainder of family and friends and have a celebration of your grandmother's life, sometime this year

ya maybe once I find out when she died I will release an obituary. who knows, my aunt is insane and a very manipulative person. she took everything and can have everything. I'm going to move on in life. God knows all and will place the final judgement. Hopefully he will tell my grandma it wasn't our choice not to say goodbye..

I understand. The hurt is very fresh right now.
The celebration of life can occur any time you are ready. And there will probably be other family and friends who will support you as you go through this difficult time and as you plan for the celebration of life later on.

Sympathies to you and to your family.

Thanks for sharing such a personal moment with us, and for trusting us with your feelings.

What was the relationship like between your mother or father and grandmother? Good or strained?

So sorry to hear about your loss. I can kind of understand how you feel as the same thing happened to me in June of last year. Once you do what you need to do to make yourself feel better, move on and forget about those family members. You will be better off without them.

So very sorry for your loss. It is so terrible how cruel people can be when it comes to money. I hope you can get over this fast and move on, they are not worth getting sick over.

@Tommycoupons I can understand your sadness ( and anger ) in family members manipulating their elderly family members. How is it that at the end of a person's life the respect for them somehow disappears? I agree wholeheartedly with what you said about God knows all. He does, and THAT is the best way for you to let what they did to your Grandmother pass.
I sure hope at some point you can get an opportunity to honour her with a celebration of your own. Just so distasteful that family can behave like this.

Thanks maybe I will forward these to my mom. we assume everything is already gone and if there is a will it will probably state everything goes to my evil aunt. My family received nothing from my grandfathers passing, no heirlooms, pictures nothing. So we expect the same now that both are gone.

my step mother never consulted me nor my sister if the date of our father's funeral worked for both of us*...it was for family members only..

my sister was able to make it..I couldn't as I was unable to get a flight back in time..But seems I wasn't a family member..
