my Dehydrator just got delivered by UPS
and so did my bookorder with a dehydrator book in it!

I don't make much that I cook again afterwards.
Tomatoes I usually do the little cherry ones, just cut them in half and put them open side up. They get used as sun-dried tomatoes in pasta.
In the fall I make a ton of apple sauce then puree it and dry it in sheets. It comes out like a fruit rollup not the thick fruit leather. It is my family's favourite food.
I will dry fruit that I don't think is going to be eaten in time, we just eat that dried like raisins.
Of course, beef jerky.
I dried bits of carrots one time thinking I would use them in soup but I don't think I ever did. I also did potato flakes thinking it would be like instant mashed, but they didn't come out very well.

right now I smell fruits drying
have apple kiwi and banana in the dehydrator, can't wait to eat them

I made jome Jerky and OMG they are so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had such a crappy day, but I did put some Jerky in to dehydrator.
then went for a long nap, work again and now I'm eating them... and I can eat as many as I want
OMG they are soooooooooooooooooooo good
I love my dehydrator...
