-
Mon, Mar 7th, 2016, 09:35 AM #1
We are looking for a lawyer to do a will and POA for myself and my husband.
I don't know of any except Peter Dudzic, and he is no longer accepting new will clients.
Anyone have any recommendations, and pricing??
I contacted a couple, and I don't know how much they are suppose to cost but I've been quoted between $500-$550 each plus HST...This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I do not have any lawyer recommendations but do recall seeing Simpson Wigle was advertising (either in the Hamiton Spectator or Hamilton magazine) its firm's expertise with such matters. I had to search the name you mention-you are in Hamilton, ON? I've no idea about rates. POAs for health as well as for finances? Gail Vaz Oxlade had mentioned in her recent book how joint mortgage holders need POAs because when one holder has two broken arms at the time of a mortgage renewal, that person's signature is still required!
Last week, the community paper and admail contained cards for this week's free wills/estates/funeral planning talks by a funeral home at a local church. The first one is on Wednesday around lunch time and the other one is in the late afternoon. RSVPs are needed. http://www.pxdermodyfuneral.com/Plan..._Prepared.html2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I don't know if it's too far for you, but we went to Oakville. The price was $565 total, or $500 + HST. They send you a draft via email before the final signing.
