400 praying mantis & 1000 lady bugs for sale at costco.ca

The ladybugs come out for free from the woodwork about three times per year. Not sure if they hang around outside but I'd rather see them outside than indoors.
Don't often see preying mantis outdoors. But there are some local frogs-they can eat their fill of flies.

I don't think those are ladybugs, maybe Asian lady beetles?

In a past job I learned about some biotech things. At least back then, most 'ladybug farms' where they breed ladybugs for pest control (can you imagine that on your resume? Ladybug Breeder) were in Southern Ontario, and apparently they have a homing instinct. So after they eat your aphids, they move on in the general direction of home.
