Fertilizing lawn...

My lawn is now 6 months old and is about due for it's first fertilization. I have hired a company to take care of it. I was always told you must water your grass right after it has been fertilized but the woman on the phone said there is no need to do that. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice about this?

It's just a local company, but established in my town. I'd say the name but then I don't want to give away where I live lol.

No problem. So long as it's not Weed Man. Some on here have had problems with them. Even one of my coworkers.

Thank you so much ! I guess I need to ask the company what kind of fertilizer they are using, but I'm assuming it's spray not dry so that may be why they don't require watering afterwards? Thanks again !
