So, I have 2 trees right outside my bedroom and sitting room windows. This area used to be orchards, so the trees are fruit trees and attract many types of birds and insects. I was in the sitting room today with the window open and was being serenaded by the most beautiful bird. I looked over and saw the shape of a cardinal. What captured my eye was its colour. I took some photos because it looked very yellow. I know it was a cardinal, but I'm curious if it was a female cardinal or a yellow northern one. Soon after I started snapping photos of this beauty, a red cardinal showed up to start singing too. My morning was a lovely one with the beauty of nature being but mere feet from me, separated only by a screen. So does anyone know if this is simply a female or a northern cardinal?
