I wish DD would eat as many things as your son does!!
Today I sent her with multigrain crackers, cheese, 1/2 pepperoni stick, fresh apricot, snap pea crisps( cleaning out the pantry kind of lunch) and a power bar for breakfast on the bus as she is never hungry before she leaves. Who knows how much she might eat-she is trying to cut back on sugar so we will see how long that lasts.

2 brownie paws to trade lol (My sister gave us a club pack and we don't care for them. DS has been trading them for good stuff. One day he traded for a YOP another day a hot hot dog!
Mine has a thermos with taco meat, and a dish with some lettuce, red pepper and cheese. I also packed an Old El Paso 'taco bowl' for him to eat it out of, got them at No Frills a week or two ago on sale. Gonna try making something like that myself some time.
WOOHOOO!! The last school packed lunch for 2015/2016 school year.
Today was not that healthy lol
jumbo hotdog
rice crackers
cherries
pineapple
And tons of snacks for the afternoon class party!
I wish I were done packing lunches. Both DH and I work full time so DS is in camps for much of the summer. Lunch packing continues. But looking on the bright side, this week and next week lunch is included! Yay!
This is my 1st summer that I don't have to put DS in daycare/camp! But I do go home at lunch to make him lunch lol.
He is attending 2 hockey camps this summer so I will have to pack lunches for those but won't be so bad since I don't have to do it everyday.
One year he attended a golf/hockey camp and lunch was included at the golf course. It was the best camp ever!! :)
It's that time of year again! I am getting all my little containers ready and starting to gather my ideas.

mmm. My DS would love both of those. Thanks for the ideas! I vow to be creative this year!
I totally got organized on Sunday. Boiled eggs. Fried eggs (for quick breakfast sandwiches in the morning) bagged snap peas. Cooked extra for leftovers (rotisserie chickens for wraps etc)
Monday DS had:
2 x chicken wraps (had lettuce and cheese shredded and ready)
Choc milk (in reuseable container) 1L bought at GT last week for .99
boiled egg
snap peas
Orange cut into quarters
yogurt drink (.50 FB last week)
rice crackers (.25 cost for baggie)
No lunch packed today- Snowday.
Tomorrow's lunch will be the same as above :)
That sounds like a great lunch. What reusable container did you buy for his milk?
Our oldest son will be starting Kindergarten in September and I'm already starting to collect ideas. My mom gave me a 4pk of Tupperware sandwich containers for Christmas this year. Most of the schools here are nut free. I SCOPed a 24ct box of fruit to go bars from Wal-Mart and they are best before December, so I've set it aside for school lunches. We do a lot of baking, so we'll have to do nut free for school and stuff with nuts for at home.
Agree with FBM, these are the best. We have bought knock offs that work just as good too.
Sunflower seeds $1.99 for huge bag that lasts forever
Laughing Cow Cheese and Crackers ~$1.25 (0.75 due to Costco cash in)
Apple Sauce ~$0.30 (FREE due to Costco cash in)
Made Good Granola Bar ~$0.70 (This seems expensive, but they are GF, nut free, organic and this is the cheapest I have bought them).
Chocolate Milk ~0.75 (FREE due to Costco cash in)
Water FREE
Before Cash in $3 per lunch, After $1.50 per lunch x2 girls, x5 days = $15 for the week (Gluten free/nut free lunches)
-I have 2 girls, 5 and 6 that require lunches and the more peckish the lunch, the more they eat. I think that saves me $ too. :)
-Thinking next week to do chicken dippers. Grilled chicken cut in to strips with BBQ sauce. (GF chicken fingers).
Today's lunch for DS:
Choc milk
Lactose free Yogurt drink
snap peas
4 kiwi cut up (his fav)
1/2 lb strawberries
2 clemetines
veggie chips
rice crackers
1 piece of bacon (loll cleaning out the fridge and didn't feel like making a wrap)
Do you fully peel the kiwi for him? Just curious how you prepare. I often don't send fruit, and will do fruit for an afternoon snack after school instead. I only like preparing lunches once or twice a week and some fruit is just better fresh. :) I always serve kiwi fresh (that day). Just wondering how your family eats it (I am assuming you prepare night before or morning of). ;)
Lunch for DD- wrap with roast chicken and lettuce(ceasar dressing to add at school), fresh raspberries, fruit gummies and nuts.
I saw this Tasty Junior video linked to a radio station's Facebook page on the afternoons last week when I was hoping to win tickets. Aside from the wrap with peanut butter (which most schools will not allow), there are ideas for one week's worth of lunches. Talk about organized!
No lunch needed today but will be prepping tonight for the week. Strawberries for sure- Going to pick some up on sale ($1.66 for 1LB)
Wrap of some sort since I have tons. Thinking I will cook up some chicken tonight. Have lots of romaine and cheese etc so he will like that!
Had eggs that were expiring. Boiled them all for lunches! With four in the family that will eat them, they will go quick and not to be wasted!
