I'm just curious how long these last? I know they sells refills for it but do you have to replace the steppy thing too? I've been trying to get one at London Drugs but they haven't had any which makes me think it might not be that great of a product

And does the lid get uneven once you shut it over the clip that goes on the side of the toilet. I'm curious too, especially about the effectiveness of this over my normal scrub-down routine.

I bought one on sale for 7.54-5.00 coupon and feel like I wasted 2.54. I won't bother buying more, it doesn't "clean" IMO it just makes a pretty smell.

Well, I've discovered one problem with it. My five year old DS just got home and went up to use the bathroom, says it 'really bothers' him. It never occurred to me, but when you're small, you're going through the hole in the seat a bit more and the thing touches your bum! I can see this being a bother.

    LOL!
I love the comments in this and the related thread.

Yes, if you don't fiddle with it, it can spray everywhere. I managed to get it so it doesn't spray outside the bowl.

I got one about a month ago and decided to test it.

I scrubbed the toilet and haven't since.

The only film in the bowl appears to be where I missed scrubbing in the first place. (I can see the lines).

Also... the water in my building is terribly rusty (and who knows what else). It has always been a challenge to get into the little holes where the clean water pumps in.

They are clean. I am certain they weren't when I was done my initial "test" scrub.

I will also note that I used the spray twice a day for about a week when it was "novel" (the manufacturer recommends twice a day). Now maybe once a day. When I remember.

I'm certainly no scientist and can't do a test for bacteria or whatever... but based on what I can see... I think it's great!!!

Price for the refills (without coupons, which I don't have... hint hint), not so much. Probably not worth $5 per month. Guess depends how much you hate scrubbing a toilet!!! I'm a bit concerned about the waste of refills, too.

    My two cents worth.

I like it.. I got the one step with the $5 coupon so it cost 2.87 and I used the buy one step get refill free.. so got it all for 2.87 plus tax @ walmart when GT had the sale .. I just step on it twice in one day.. let it sit for 20 mins or so and then swish with the brush.. I do that twice a week.. .. I had no probs at all with it spraying outside.. I just attached it and it worked perfectly.. perhaps a fluke but that happened on both toilets.. the toilets are both new, I don't know if that makes a difference..
