President's Choice long distance 'phone card deal
buy a $20 long distance 'phone card, get $9 worth of calls for free. That's $29 worth of calls for $20.

We buy these as gifts for seniors we know. They don't do internet. They do keep up with family and friends using their 'phone. Some calls are long distance.

President's Choice gives the $29 for $20 deal around holidays - Valentine's, Easter, Mother's Day etc.
Got a call at 6 AM today. From one of our treasured seniors. They found out that the $29 for $20 was on for a limited time.

They wanted to give back to us by making sure our future long distance 'phone card gifts could be purchased at a discount. Looking out for us and saying thank you. Just luv them!

yes, these would be fantastic for seniors who don't have internet service. Do you know if there is an expiry date on them?

Once activated, they are good for 6 months. When you are down to the last 2 weeks of use, there is a recording reminding you to top up.

I also know this because the senior(s) keep me alerted when the cards are about the expire.

BTW, seniors give great advice too. They have a life time of experiences that can help little ones and adults too.

There are several provinces where LD phone cards do not expire - Quebec is one of the - maybe someone else will know the others

One senior has used the long distance phone card to call the head office of a telecommunications company to complain about the rising cost of their bill. They were successful at getting a 3 month break on the price increase.

Then called us to tell us that we could get the same lower price on our bill.
