Cath007, I am so very sorry to hear about your grandmother, and sorry about your tooth pain. Toothache is so awful especially when you have another stress such as your loss!

Good evening, all!
Oh, it's such a very HOT evening, and tomorrow it's going to be even hotter out! I'm SO not a summer girl!
Unexpectedly had our son for supper - as my husband got carried away at Taco Time with the 1.29 tacos, LOL! It was nice to have a short visit with him, of course! He's very glad to be back at work, getting muscles and calluses back in shape. He lucked out getting an alternator for his Cadillac for $65 so that made him happy, instead of several hundreds - but then he had to buy new steel-toed work shoes because his boots were causing him too much calf muscle pain.
Got our tax refund, so yay - that just goes into general living funds.
Have been watching the terrible fire destroying Fort McMurray - it's just awful.

@ Cathy & Avon - prayers offered
I got in to see a different doctor today. He was 45min late because he was at our local hospital. He checked all the kids out. Twin boy has an inflamed throat, so he told me to give him Tylenol. If he develops a fever I am supposed to bring him back. I have a sinus infection, I think it might be improving because I can somewhat breathe, but it is messing with my voice. I started antibiotics, but Dh has the same thing and he can't be scheduled in before Friday morning due to work.
It it is so warm here that I plan on filling the paddling pool tomorrow for the kids to play in. The twins love their baths, so why not play in the sun and water in our own yard. I've made arrangements for my neighbour's young family to join us with the paddling pool on Thursday, it is her day off and forecast at 33.
I'm going to an acquaintance's house on Thursday morning to pick out free baby girl clothes from her. Most was given to her, so she is gifting it along since they just had a boy. She already had her friends come by to pick out what they want.
I'm pretty ticked off at myself right now because I just discovered that my $50 CT gc expired yesterday. I thought that it was good for 2 weeks, but apparently it was only valid for 2 weekends. :( This makes me quite upset with myself. I was going to use that gc to buy supplies for my garden. I know that we got good sales that day, but losing out on a $50gc because we weren't careful enough really bothers me. I know we had our garage sale the first Sat & Dh didn't feel well the following day. This weekend Dh volunteered all day Sat & we were both very sick on Sunday. I didn't think to go shopping on Thursday evening, only other alternative would have been taking all 3 kids with me, double stroller & all in a crowded CT with narrow isles. I would have made a special trip to use it sooner, but I thought I could use it this Thursday evening. :( So frustrating when I'm working hard to keep us financially ahead.
All of dh's family is in Alberta, but not in Fort Mac. We've been watching the coverage and have been discussing what we would do if something like that happened here. Our area was put on a red alert regarding being a big time fire hazard, a large portion of SK currently is. I still remember last July and the air quality advisory. Fort Mac is in our prayers.
Angela, I hate the rewards with limited redeeming time just for this reason, it never seems to fail something comes up and it expires on me.
Good Morning Everyone,
Going to be a busy day here. Just waiting for our controller to come in so we can talk about a few things I have coming up that I want to fill him in on (already spoke to Dad yesterday and he is on board with my plans so just keeping everyone in the loop).
Then it off to set up for our training session tomorrow, I was supposed to wait until the afternoon for set up but now a meeting has been booked this afternoon so have to go set up before.
Sub platter has been ordered and Dad assistant will pick up tomorrow. Thinking well I set up I will cook the pasta and have it ready for tomorrow, lettuce has been chopped so tonight I need to do the potatoes and make a dessert. Found a few just mix and bake recipes which I think will be best since this has kind of been left to the last minute. Also thinking I will bake instead of boil the potatoes so I can just toss it all in the oven and be done.
Have a great day everyone off to see what today brings.
SassyAshley I hope your dad realizes just how much you do for the company.
I did have panic attacks when they bought the $4.99 Regular flavoured potato chips or blew $700 on fireworks to be shared by the group. I think that's why I was uninvited. :(
@cath007 : I'm so very sorry for your loss. :(
@Angela273 : I'm all too familiar with that feeling of losing money, like when I lost the $90 GC at SDM, or the $300 loss in cash at the grocery store a few years ago. You do so much to save throughout the year and with three young ones, you are a marvel. Honestly, I should be coming to you for advice! This is a bit of a setback with all the freebies you've been scoring for your kids lately, but you'll probably find you'll have saved that much within the next couple of weeks with your shopping habits alone.
just stalking
Another hot day here, gah!
Enjoy the day, whether cool or hot!

Happy Hump Day!! Made coffee at home and a toasted English muffin. Banana for my morning snack. Sliced cucumbers for my afternoon snack. Lunch at home! Dinner- fundraiser tonight with the family and Aunt/niece and Grandma which is nice :)
Will toss a load of laundry on this evening. Do the few dishes in the sink. That's about it!
It's DH's birthday today and he hates hearing that. So of course, everyone says it to him!
QOTD:
A while ago, stores in my area got really picky about price matching. For example, if the bananas were from Costa Rica and the price matched bananas were from Honduras, they wouldn't let you. Now, it just seems to be confined to certain cashiers and they'll let you price match produce, but not eggs, etc. Do stores in your area do this, and if they do, do you avoid them? Walmart is always the troublemaker store for me.
They were doing this at RCSS long ago but not at all now. It always seemed to be the "older" crusty cashiers that would make a big deal about everything. We have a few fav cashiers because they are nice and friendly and will make sure we get them and not go to the crusty ones :)
