This may seem like a silly question.

I haven't worn contact lenses much. I have to wear them to a wedding, and I have a good feeling I'll be tearing up.

Other than makeup running, is it a bad idea to cry with contacts on? Will anything happen (I know they won't fall out but is there anything else I should know)?

I may take extra solution and eyedrops with me just in case. Thought it would be nice to ask in case any of you have more experience wearing contacts.

I wore soft contacts for years and, yes, you can cry.

I boo-hooed at a lot of weddings wearing them!

This is very good to know! I'm also wearing soft contacts (just got them three weeks ago). Thank you for your reply.

Worse case scenario is they get foggy from protein buildup - just take them out, give them a quick scrub, rinse, and put them back in.

Also, dab your eyes carefully. If your eye is very liquid, you can knock your lens out or lodge it under your eyelid.

I wear soft contact lenses almost every day. I also cry.... not everyday, but often (haha) i don't have any serious problems when/after crying while wearing lenses.
    You're good. Have no fear.
