Hey all,
I am looking at neighborhoods in St. Catharines, and from what I have been reading there are some areas that are more family friendly than others.
I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the people that live in the area.
I am interested in neighborhoods that are quiet and where the public schools are good.

Don't know about areas by the highway - but Scott and Bunting, or Bunting and Carlton, is definitely family friendly. We don't have any school aged - but there are at least 3 schools (one being secondary) nearby. We hear kids at lunch time from a couple of directions. So far immediate neighbours are very friendly and there is a real mix of residents - people who have been here since the houses were built (late 60s), seniors, middle aged (empty nesters), families with children - actually they grew up in the area and moved back to raise their children. Our street is fairly quiet and only a few idiots race down the street. We have no sidewalks but have ditches (so cool and oldschool a but tough to cut the grass) so I am not sure how that will pan out in snowy months. Feel free to PM if you want more specific specs

We didn't look at crime rates, but my main concerns were calm, quiet areas.
We ended up finding a good property in the North End, and are very happy with the area and the schools.
