Our son is having a hard time understanding why his new shoes have to stay at school, but he had a great time at school. Our son and I folded 3 loads of laundry after lunch, baby girls next size of clothes are in the dryer. I just figured out how to access a free compression stocking program that is run provincially, but I can get the paperwork filled out at our local hospital, which is good news for me.

Baby girl started walking independently in the last couple of weeks. She has also cut 2 new teeth, which brings her to 6 teeth in total. Her twin brother can climb onto the couch and my living room chair fairly easily now, and without using anything to assist him. He only has 4 teeth. We have outdoor family pictures booked for Sunday. I need to figure out what all of us will be wearing.

Here is what I have posted on Facebook regarding my experience at Staples today, I have now found what I needed on Amazon.ca for $3 less and free shipping.

Today I had the most frustrating experience at Staples. I went into one location to try to locate an ink cartridge for my printer. I had to stand there for 30 minutes while the staff member covering that department stood behind a counter with his back to me discussing a party he and his friend attended over the weekend. When he did acknowledge me, I was told the product I was looking for had been discontinued, even when I pointed out that while I waited for him to end his conversation I located it on Staples.ca. I was told the website was inaccurate but if I wanted I could drive to another location 30 minutes away to see if maybe they had one.

Still willing to give Staples another chance I came home and tried to order the cartridge online and have it delivered to my local store to avoid the delivery charge. This is when I learned that even if it is delivered to my local store a delivery charge of $15 will be applied if the order is under the $45 minimum.

I called Staples Head Office to try to locate the cartridge I need, as I am not willing to pay a $15 delivery charge, only to find out it is not carried in stores and is only available online. I am still baffled that Staples would charge $15 to deliver to my local store as this is a service many other companies offer for free to keep their customers happy..

Since I only item I need one item from Staples, and I refuse to pay delivery or purchase items I do not need in order to reach the $45 minimum I will now be taking my business elsewhere.

Oh SassyAshley, that sucks. I know that I am limited in my shopping options in Estevan and I try at avoid shopping online. I learned while ordering various car seats for our twins that it was much cheaper when I ordered from Amazon.ca vs babies r us, especially when you consider the shipping fees.

I normally order online regularly but this is the first time I have ever tried to order an item to be delivered to a store and I had to pay delivery to get the item to the store. Staples has lost my business.

CG-Shoppers gives the senior discount to those 55 and over-although mine no longer does on milk-used to be a sweet deal getting 20% off my milk each week!

He isn't convinced that it is cancer and, if it is, there is a 1% chance that it could spread to other areas of the body from that site and then only when the growth becomes 7 cm. @momof5boys : I'm so relieved for you. That's a lot off your mind.

My DH has been completely distracted with MIL's diagnosis that he completely forgot our anniversary this week. He's only just read my e-card and realized it's two days old. I've had happy anniversary wishes from my mother, sister, and two friends - one being the lovely Natalka, who always puts in a kind word to brighten your day.

@coupon girl : I'm sorry your daughter has to go through so much pain. It's a major operation and I may just be empathizing with her in a few months. I hope she recovers quickly, but I think my sister said it took about a month for the pain, and then longer to heal properly. Luckily, she has a mom like you to help out.

A little more than two decades ago, it was still two days. My sister had one and unfortunately had to leave her baby at the hospital because he was two weeks premature. I remember her being so upset and crying every day she had to turn and leave him in the incubator for the evening. It's too bad they can't offer the mother a cot for special circumstances like that.

This baby may be quite large if I get diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My results came back with a "possible" this week and I have to do the two hour test next. I really hope I don't. Last pregnancy, I thought the horrible pregnancy rash and the constant severe colds and flus made it almost unbearable. The AC breaking down when it was 37C at night didn't make it fun either. This time it may be something completely new. However, if I get the rash and diabetes, that will be a whole new low.

A little discovery I made about Amazon this week, they no longer offer price adjustments. They used to be valid for a month, and then it was a week, and now it's gone completely. I'm very disappointed about that. If you return something and re-purchase, they will charge a 20% restocking fee.

sweet sparrow, I sure hope you don't either -

When I had Milan two decades ago, I don't know what the regular time was to stay in hospital after a c-section; I had one, but had to stay in the hospital a week because he was losing weight.

Well, another week over - gosh, time flies!

    Momof5boys: this is wonderful news.
working at home today, so up early to put the clothes on the line. With the short days we don't get a lot of sun in the yard so they take so much longer to dry. I did finally cave and get the dryer fixed. It had multiple issues so was more than we could manage. There was over 20.00 in change too. I am going to try and hold off until October before I go back to the dryer, but we will see. With TOD use a rainy weekend makes it difficult to get laundry done. But the hydro is just insane so we need to do what we can.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Just spent an hour cubing a 6+ pound beef roast. Bought this for $2.98lb and I will be using the cubes (divided into four bags) for a scrumptious slow cooker meat sauce. If there is meat sauce left over, I use it as a base to make a beef barley soup.

Better get laundry on the racks outside today. Tomorrow we are going to be hit with a deluge of rain....hard to believe b/c it is so sunny today yet.

I found a deal on beef too-picked up 4 top quality steaks at Safeway marked at 50% off dated tomorrow(they looked very fresh!). Plus I cashed in $20 in Airmiles so 4 steaks for $2.44. Popped those in the freezer as we are having company tomorrow so roasting a small turkey with the fixings. Weather is very nice here too.

My truck is finished getting repaired and I think it looks pretty good. Now I'll need to clean the inside of it and prepare it for sale.

Tomorrow night we we are going to a BBQ potluck where there will be 15-20 adults and children in attendance. I'm bringing my baked cheese loaf with crackers. Now the hosts have requested that I bring a dessert too because I am also known for my baking. Dh is encouraging me to keep it simple by making a large pan of puffed wheat squares. I have rhubarb in the fridge that I plan on turning into a rhubarb crisp.

We spent some time in the yard and garden this morning. I played with the kids and pulled some weeds. There are an abundance of lady bugs and too many wasps. I picked the blossoms off my tomato plants so that it would encourage the other tomatoes to mature faster. We had freshly dug carrots and cherry tomatoes for morning snack. I added some green onion tops to my tuna salad at lunch. I really enjoy just walking out into the yard to get some fresh veggies to eat.

We are back in Chatham for my cousin's wedding but have to stay in a HOTEL! It seems so weird. The bride and groom gave me a lovely flower arrangement (travel safe) and also tucked $100 into a thank-you card to help offset our hotel costs. (When we booked the wedding we lived in Chatham and had no intention of moving to London.)

Got a nice visit in with DH'S mum at the nursing home but since the whole home is in isolation, we met outsize as it was a nice day. DH's sister and brother-in-law come up every Friday to visit her and they usually have entertainment planned- singing the old songs that these folks love. Too bad they had to miss that.

I made a quick run into SDM to get a birthday card for my brother who I'll see tomorrow and picked up some cheap toothbrushes to use as stocking stuffers. I figure if I give my nephews chocolate, I should also add a toothbrush. They are past the singing toothbrush stage. I used to look for those in the clearance and then combine them with coupons.

I picked up 3 cards in SDM yesterday and got the senior' s discount AND the $4 off when you buy 3 cards BUT I thought I had a card at home for my brother. I remember he was born on a Tuesday night and I had been at Brownies or maybe Guides. I am 10 years older than he is.

Well eyes are closing. DH is not feeling that well. I offered to come alone but he really wanted to see his mum.

Sadie got to meet our favourite dogsitter who is like the animal whisperer but she wasn't too happy when we left. We could hear her barking all the way to the corner. That would be Sadie barking, not the sitter- although if Sadie kept barking, the sitter might start barking too.

Catch up with you tomorrow! Sleep well, my friends!
