I have enough points to redeem $20, but the closest SDM is 2.5hrs away, which is why I rarely shop there.

They are ending it after making all the offers / coupons online and via app... I doubt it. Let's see.

I think they are going to merge Optimum and PC so that they run off the same "currency"...on the plus side, it will make it easier to earn at one store and redeem at the other.

They have this notice on their website too. on main page as Red strip.

They should ask us, smartcunuckers, what is the best way to combine the points, deals, coupons, promotions!! I'm sure we can give them a lot of ideas hahaha!! If you are reading this PC, give us a shout, before you change a good thing!!

This doesn't mean they are ending the program. It means they are aligning with other programs that don't have an expiry date, but rather that state a time frame for notice of ending a program.

If they were planning to give notice in the new year that they were ending the program, they would simply end it December 31, the current expiry date.

I doubt that Shopper's is ending this program any time soon. It is quite lucrative for them and lots of people still don't save points there or even have an sdm card. In the grand scheme of things, there aren't too many of us SCer's that use the points system to the fullest advantage.

I hardly save points now as the the closest SDM is now 45 minutes away but I do have enough points for a large redemption and then some. I guess I will use them sooner than later.
