Sears Outlet in downtown will close Oct.2017
No lease renewal next fall, so the Sears Outlet store will close.

“(We) carefully look at the market involved and take steps that can help us be more efficient overall from a sales- and profit-per-square-foot viewpoint,” he wrote in an e-mail. “In the case of Chatham, the numbers did not offer a more favourable solution than concluding our lease when it came to its natural end.”
Power said the company announced the decision to its associates last week, adding it is “business as usual” until the lease at the DCC expires in October of 2017.
