my dd loves cereals so I bought a box.
I don't like it and dd hates it she really don't like it.

I would call the 1-800 number on the box, and tell them your story...
Most likely they will either send out free product coupons or cents off ones.
This is a valid complaint of being disappointed in their product and they want to hear the consumers feedback.
If you do decide to call, let us know what they say

When i'm dissatisfied with anything, i return it to the store with the receipt, even food. I've done that maybe 3 times before. It's your $ and if you're not satisfied, your money should go towards something you would like. I saw last night that Special K also has a Pecan one that looks pretty good

I tried the Special K breakfast bars with chocolate, thinking I would be in for a real treat. After all, I love chocolate, so what could be better?
Funny thing is, I didn't like it at all. But then I'm fussy about my chocolate. I like mine rich and dark (funny, I've said the same about men, too )
The Special K stuff is almost like sugar-coated chocolate. Too sweet and not enough of the chocolate flavour coming through. But that's my humble opinion...

I once used a box of corn flakes up making squares with a basic rice crispie treats recipe of marshmallows, butter or margarine, and vanilla. But I used the flakes instead of crispies, put in some coconut, a handful of peanuts and a cup of chocolate chips. I swear, they tasted just like chocolate bars or something.
Wish I could help out more, but I am in the same boat. I can't even bake with these!!! We bought a large double box of a cereal I hadn't seen before. Its Cinnabon's Crunchy Cereal, they are shaped like tiny cinnamon buns you get from the franchise, but nobody in the house likes them. I thought we would because we love Cinnabon's. But they are like hard little rocks with cinnamon on them. My daughter usually loves crunchy cereal, but she had to soak them in milk to try to soften them up, but to no avail. We definitely don't like them, and we don't know what we are going to do with them. I had to buy such a large box because I hadn't seen them anywhere before, and we were at a warehouse type shopping place where everything is BIG. I will keep checking your thread for suggestions...I could use them too.Last edited by crumpet; Sat, Aug 16th, 2008 at 11:35 PM.

little update
after posting this, I sah that it was to late to call, so I went to the website and choose to contact them via email.
told them the same thing I told you.
I thought they will contact me and if not I would call.
well this morning I received a responce to my email and with the message that I should contact them. they gave me a file #.
I called and all I can say is wow, the lady was amazing, she was the one that wrote me back and we laught *LOL* I did not ask for a coupon or a refund, I just asked for ideas, we talked about the squares and she said that if I don't like the base then it could be possible that I will not like the squares made with the product. she said I would just waste more ingrediends... she was awesome.
anywas she said I should toss them and they will send me a coupon
I told her that I won't toss them, but I give them to my chickens... we had a laugh....""" gonna have chocolate tasting eggs""""!!!!
my experience with Kellogs Canada!!!! AWESOME!!!
thank you all for suggesting to call them.
