Is this a good quality butter? I need it for baking, and from the past I've discovered brand name to be better butter - but at almost $6 a pound that's going to be a lot of money for my Christmas baking.

Yes! It is great. I prefer the Selection brand salted butter for every day use over the name brand, as it has less added salt. I've also used their unsalted for baking and it is just as good.
