Taking advantage of the good weather, +3. We walked down to pick big brother up from school, then spent an hour at home playing in the snow. He's now playing in our fenced back yard since the twins had had enough. I'm hoping to do this again tomorrow. Fresh air, exercise, and saved the fuel of driving down the street to pick him up from Pre-K.

Amazing temp PLUS sun! We just broke a record from 1923 with a temp of 5.2 degrees.

Got cheap ground pork yesterday at Co-op, 4.41/kg - making Shipwreck casserole for supper.

Hope you are all having a FAB day!

Note to self-visit Saskatchewan, the province that keeps Standard Time all year long!
@Angela _273 -agree on the fresh air routine for your little ones (it buys you nap time/me-time)! Big brother is likely glad to have some free time with you just being you.

I've had a migraine for the last month straight, it fluctuates but doesn't leave me. I'm limited in my options for pain medications due to my blood thinner in addition to the fact that I am nursing. I saw a chiropractor yesterday have another appointment on Friday. I can't find an opening for massage any sooner than 3wks down the road, so that Dh can be home with the kids. Dh's medical coverage is better for massage than it is for chiropractor. I do not remember a time before I had migraines, I remember having migraines in early elementary school. It sucks, but it's just another part of my life. My injection blood thinners reduced my migraines more than any migraine preventative medication ever did. I'm seeing my GP on Monday, maybe I'll look into seeing a specialist again...I saw one specialist years ago who was anything but helpful. My kids are all down for a nap, so I'm going to try to sleep too.

edit: Sure enough, I received 2 text messages shortly after posting this, then baby girl decided to get up from her nap at 4:10. No nap for this mommy.

@Angela273 : Oh I completely empathize about no sleep. I'm sorry about the migraines. It's not a treatable cause?

In other news, I just changed the baby. She had spit up on herself and soaked her arm so I changed her diaper. Then she needed another diaper change. Then she spit up again and now we're out of wearable blankets. Only the regular blankets now. Sigh. Now feeding a soaked baby and DD1 hasn't had a playmate for the last 20 minutes.

@avoncallingu I'm waiting 30 days because we got a 30 day warranty and If I need to use it for whatever reason I don't want them to do something to the car (perhaps I'm paranoid)!!!
@Andit welcome back and glad to hear you are in a better place. Have you listed the house for sale? (hugs)

@ sweet sparrow 30% of people with migraines have larger than normal red blood cells, and I'm one of them. I've never found a migraine preventative or treatment that has worked very well for me.

This week is dragging on. It should totally be Friday today!

Saddened by these high hydro bills people are getting. The news the last while has talked to small business owners getting $1700.00 monthly bills. The one guy said he can't sleep thinking about how he is going to pay it.
I have wanted to sell and move to the rural area near us but this is one thing that is stopping me. Before I would think it was cheaper since I lived in a higher end neighbourhood and pay high taxes. But at the end of the day my house is pretty cheap to run (its efficient) I don't want to move and have someone else's problems. Hydro would be more (rural) house insurance more (farther away from Fire department etc) Gas to and from town. Totally supports my decision to stay put I think.

We are in the same position. Higher taxes in a higher end neighborhood but pretty efficient house - our latest gas bill was 124.00 for the month of December but it was an unusually cold month for us.

My gas bill I just paid today was $122.00 lol. And I must be getting cold in my old age since I really have been cranking the heat this winter.

I understand about seeing a specialist that was anything but helpful. I too have seen those (who I call quacks) and have gone back to my family doctor asking for another referral. Migraines are no fun at all and I can't even imagine how you can function when the pain is bad.

My gas bill is double this month, rates have increased not sure what portion is cap and trade (big secret in Ontario).

Finished my dental crown - I was lucky the dentist gave me a bit of a break but still very expensive. He also gave me some good news (sarcasm) - I will need a root canal on another tooth down the road due to a huge filing

We ended up ordering a Domino's pizza for $12.50 for supper last night, Dh picked it up. I debated, but still headed out to NF for a few groceries. They were out of stock of several items that I wanted, this has been happening more often again. Too. Ad because my kids have been asking for strawberries.
