Just a quickie....nothing much to report... @Natalka , I triggered Preeda's "murder gene" yesterday when we were at the kids' home...and got a pretty good scratch on my hand. She asked me to pet her, laid down on the island in front of me...so I petted her tummy, then wham!! A claw on the top of my hand. Sheesh! I'll stick to petting Suda from now on. I hope and pray for healing for you, Nat.....honestly, those recurring blisters on your legs have got to be so frustrating!!!
@walkonby ...jeepers, if Eastlink ever gets to down south, grab it!!! We're so pleased with their service, always a real person answering the phone if we have a question, now not a worry in the world with our service..phone/computer/tv!! Sorry for your troubles, my Friend.

We're heading over to the kids' house after dinner; they taught us a new card game, "Golf", and it's a brain-dead game which suits me just fine as I can only do one thing at a time...sip wine...or play a game...or converse. So we'll be bringing in a couple of rolls of quarters.

Not much else going on...hope every one is enjoying their weekend!

The short version of the " fix " came after speaking with the Bell Loyalty dept ( I know...been there done that you say ? ) me too, every year as I haggled to get their unjustified $3.00 increase to both our phone and tv bill removed.
Brings new meaning to their " Bell Let's Talk " day....anyhow, we now have the newest model of PVR installed and it's humming along quite well.
On Friday they said the techie would be here Sat and by golly at 12 noon sharp he was!

I bought a rather pricey surge protector bar at Lowes BUT with an Air Miles caveat ....tee hee.
The Bonus Boom promo which is on atm for a mere 7 days worked in well with my needs. I was able to buy a Lowes GC as a qualifying purchase in order to bump the total up to where I needed it to be....so Happy Father's Day to DH when that rolls around in June.

We now ( reluctantly ) have the 3 product bundle with Bell...ugh@!! ( sorry Teksavvy...it's not you it's us! )
But bottom line was our total OOP for the tv, land line and our internet ( unlimited of course, high speed a must! ) is considerably lower than what we had AND we did not have to pay for the new receiver OR the installation, the house calls....nuthin!

The other great news is we have Netflix!! ( a friend sharing her account ) which came right out of the blue!! We were overwhelmed with the choices of what to watch in there, it is almost too much, right? We were so distracted on the Netflix site that we almost missed the Leaf game, and looking back I wish we HAD missed the 3rd period as they fell in O.T. to the Habs.

So we are all caught up now with techie updates.
oy!! @Natalka those darn blisters, it is comforting to know that they can be treated successfully but I wish they would stop returning!

Time for me to post a video now...THIS guy stole my heart! ( the groundhog , not the gardener )

Rest day today but I still walked 8km. Also pc gave me my 20,000 welcome bonus for my pc financial card. Then they also gave me another 80,000 welcome bonus. Well whatever happens I used the 100,000 points to go get groceries. I’ll see if eventually they want them back lol. Spin class tomorrow and maybe another walk. We have a few days in a row around -2 to -3 before it goes back to -20 for a couple days.

@GoJays , one of our DD's Siamese kittens sits between the shower curtain and liner, on the edge of the bathtub every morning when our DD showers, then lays down in the wet tub when she gets out. Every morning. She's the one who also has turned on their main-floor bathroom, then lays down in the sink with the water running. Cats are just weird!!
