There were COVID parties in Alabama. Young adults invited one person who had COVID and bet who would be next to get it. The 'winner' got the money in the pot. This is kinda the same idea, without a money pot. Maybe a good idea to keep to a circle of 10 as the province suggested. Especially if in stage 2. Some people are showing no symptoms and are infecting others. Until we have a vaccine or treatment it would be a good idea to keep safe. IMHO

No to hugging for now.
Here's how you can practise physical distancing- greet with a wave instead of a handshake, a kiss or a hug
- stay home as much as possible, including for meals and entertainment
- grocery shop once per week
- take public transportation during off-peak hours
- conduct virtual meetings
- host virtual playdates for your kids
- use technology to keep in touch with friends and family
If possible,
- use food delivery services or online shopping
- exercise at home or outside
- work from home
Remember to- wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds and avoid touching your face
- cough or sneeze into the bend of your arm
- avoid touching surfaces people touch often
- self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 including:
- cough
- fever
- difficulty breathing

What an interesting morning on here...swearing, tossing garbage, drowning cheerleaders, hahaha! What a party!
Speaking of which: I got roped in. Bulldozed. It's like being part of a gang....participate or...meh to you! They also invited our DD and her DH. So now we need a "theme"! We provide an appetizer or tray of appys, a shot and short game. Not too complicated to arrange in 2 weeks.
So......a theme....last night I thought we'd use our most favourite all-time movie: Casablanca, and take them all to Morocco. Oh...we have to decorate, also. So.....gold-deciorated lanterns, hot colours for the tablecloth, I'll need to make tassels...red, yellow, blue, orange, teal, gold...all neon-ish. Now I'll search for apps....and I think our "shot" will be a gin (Of all the gin joints...she walks into mine")...so a gin/watermelon/basil jello shots. I'll print out all the memorable lines from the movie on fabric and hang them off the deck railings......how's that so far???
Under any other circumstances this would be a blast, but caution rules the day.
Ok!! I've taken up enough of your time!
Enjoy your day, Friends!Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Jul 21st, 2020 at 12:11 PM.

I know you're worried about me, @walkonby , but honestly, I'm going to avoid people as much as is possible. We just drove out to Providence Bay to walk along the boardwalk, watch all the monarch butterflies on the milkweed there and I was antsy the whole time. Imagine being on a 4' boardwalk, me dutifully wearing my mask....passing by people who are not wearing them?! Only 3 of us wore masks....no one...no one on the beach was wearing one! Thank goodness we didn't go there...I wouldn't anyway! But geez!! What's WRONG with people?!
Oh...and the recent 1 civud case here now? Got it in Toronto.
We need to build a wall up here.Form our own province.
Weird thing......stores, confectionaries, have signs that read "Everyone Welcome". Why? Because some places don't want out-of-towners there. Our SIL was hassled by a native woman outside a big gas station/ confectionery very near here...said he'd never go there again!
Anyway....safely back enjoying a Black Fly margarita.
Thank you for your concern, my Friend.
