@walkonby , I have cinnamon hearts here! I wanted to make red cinnamon jelly with them! Cinnamon pears sounds perfect as a refreshing addition to a charcuterie platter! Like a palate-cleanser....as are your melon balls!
"Cheater" 🤣 I prefer to think of it as time and energy savers! Lol!
Oh...and wrt those turkey meatballs, don't forget the thyme! Makes all the difference! 🤗

Hello, my friends! Had a great Thanksgiving day- complete with a turkey dinner, and binge-watching 3 -yes- 3 "Bones" with my friend . Lots of yelling at the TV- laughter - and watermelon for dessert.
Got some laundry done and also found the missing Christmas bin with some key decorations in it.
Talked by Messenger with my step-daughter and my granddaughter.
So overall a very nice day, even though it was foggy, drizzly and grey.
Oh, yes, also took my friend to exchange a sweater she had bought and wound up buying a few things myself.
@danger_dan - Am I remembering accurately that you work for an American-based company and you would have had today and tomorrow off?
Lots of Covid-19 amongst college football teams which cancelled or postponed most of their games.
Well, I will bid you goodnight-sleep well.

I wish...!
I used to work for a global company, but even then we didn't get US Thanksgiving off.
I work for a Canadian Firm now.
Either way, I have today off, since I've taken a vacation day. Had to take a b=bunch of Friday's off since I've got so many days left, and if I don't use them, I lose them...can't roll them over to next year.DANGER

Good morning!
@walkonby , I don't get it, either! Why go out shopping, what's that important to risk lives in those red or grey or whatever zones? Order groceries, pick-up, done. Christmas shopping? On line! I did all my shopping on line, DH had to pick up 2 items at local stores, curb-side.
Would I love to go into stores, wander, browse? Absolutely. But would I actually do it now? No way. And we only have a dozen or so cases here!
Stay well, Walks, everyone!
A dreary day, I'll likely download another audio book or find a small sewing project. Or bake cookies, lol.
Enjoy your day, everyone and stay home if you're not working outside of your home.Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Nov 27th, 2020 at 10:44 AM.

Morning!
Gloomy-looking day but Christmassy things to do.
Finish decorating- or at least move it along.
Slowing down day as yesterday was so busy.
Have a great one! In a month, we'll be ADDING light to each day, The Jolly Old Elf will be back at the North Pole snoozing and we'll be looking forward to the Ball Drop on New Year's Eve.
Time flies- we'd better enjoy it!
Take care!

This always makes me smile....it's her smirk that means either she's enjoying that wine so much she can't hear him
or she's completely ignoring him...she's so pleased with herself! Hahaha!!

@Lynn49 speaking of drinking....well anyhow did you see that headline out of NY about the new homeowner's that discovered 66 bottles of Prohibition-era whiskey buried in the walls of the house?? Great little read.

In unrelated business, Lynn I misdirected you about those bags of Garlic Knots. They are not in the frozen food section, but rather in the bread aisles......Both Walmart and Fresh-Co have them, WM has them for .50 cheaper than FreshCo
They were in MY freezer at home, I think that's why I messed up.

Thank you for clearing that up, @walkonby ...I mentioned them to Hubby when he said "garlic bread?" for our pre-Christmas Eve dinner here with the kids and I said, 'noooooooooo....(Walks) said garlic knots!" hahaha!! Sure would be a lot easier than what I usually make with my homemade semi-famous lasagna!
We don't have a FreshCo here, so WM it will be....although I'll check out RCSS since that's where we order our groceries from...of course we could also order $25 worth of stuff from WM to get those...lol!!
Wow....$1000 each bottle?! Nice little windfall!
Still not motivated to do anything...hope that changes soon...of course looking through that extensive Black Friday list on here has officially been designated "research".
