When I was a kid, before bulk anything in stores, our grocery store had a display of different candies. So those little nougat chunks were there, but my fave were the Brach's neapolitan sundaes - three layers of coconut in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. I would love to find those now!

Well, I had an immensely crappy day - day after the methotrexate is usually bad, and this was a doozy. Spent most of the day in bed, worrying my husband, and was just able to finally eat something after 11 p.m.

Tomorrow WILL be a better day!

@Lynn49 - I've never been called a *Ho* either - I'll let you know if happens! lol I do know a couple of choice French swear words but I think I need to learn how to say "How dare you!" in French!

As far as the carbs - I have to admit I've been cheating. Felt stressed about something yesterday and out came the chips But your post reminded me that I have a small pack of Ferrero Rocher tucked away. And I do have an eye out for some Pannetone - I'm fussy and not crazy about the ones with raisins. I prefer the one with 'fruit' or even better, a plain one. Is that sacrilege? lol

Is everyone ready? Hahaha! Our Christmas Eve Eve dinner here with the kids is a week away!

As to carbs, eating properly now....how can I with my Hubby bringing home Pannetone, ice-cream, apricot brandy and Ferrero Rocher?! Mercy! I can't think about behaving until after the 25th!

Strange how our Daughter's 2 Siamese kitten twins have different coloured paw pads...one a cute pink (the brat), the other plain grey.

@Silk ......no...no raisins, maybe no fruits in Pannetone?! {{{Shudder}}}. Hahaha....I'm not even sure it's a thing, is it? The ones Hubby had brought home have both in them. I share it with Missy big brown eyes here, pulling the raisins out before we share. Doxies always have those 'I'm starving, Mom' eyes and I fall for that every time.
Diets are for after Christmas! 😉

Visited with the kids yesterday, gathered around their island, but spent most of my time giving our Grandson "numbers up to a million" for him to transcribe into Roman numerals, his perspective drawings of rooms, lol....we were leaving and my Daughter said, "I didn't even get to talk to my Mom!" We did nail down plans for Christmas day and who is bringing what for our day of grazing.

Darn cold out there, again. Just one more reason to isolate. 😏
It's not difficult, with the tree lights on all day as well as the 5 fake, flickering pillar candles that are on morning until bedtime.

@Natalka , I hope you're feeling better today, and that your appetite has improved. I'll continue to post cute kitten pictures for you. I wish I knew how to do that on this Samsung tablet!

Longo's grocery store sells a panettone that has chocolate in it. It's really quite delicious. I never liked panettone until I tried this one, I find it very dry. This one is too, but chocolate always makes things better

Had a kooky night because I had slept off and on during the day yesterday.

Generally feel better than yesterday - mind you, absolutely anything would have felt better than that crap I went through.

No plans today, yay!
Temp is -24 with wind chill. Forecasters say it will be closer to zero Saturday, hard to believe..

I was able to wrap up more gifts yesterday in between family members being out or asleep. Had a stash of parcels that had arrived on staggered days....of course they cannot get delivered on the same day, that would be too easy.

So weird, @GoJays , @walkonby chocolate in a Pannetone would absolutely wreck it for me. I must be in the minority, as it seems most women love the stuff, or were supposed to, but I'll take that bread plain or with fruits and ir raisins, but chomping on a chocolate chip would put me off completely. That's what makes the world go 'round! 🤗

It's great that you actually received those gifts, @walkonby at all this close to Christmas! How we wait for GoJays and Skippy's parcels to arrive.
