@cath007 Such fantastic news about your Dad's operation!! Wow eh? Five arteries replaced successfully! That is some intense surgery I'll bet. Now you can breathe deeply and truly relax a bit as the worst part of this is over for him.
Hope the recovery is just as good!

Hugs to you, I know how worrying this can be.
Happy 🐈 urday, everyone!
Husband has torturous pain in his back today, so things have been slow. I do admire him for being able to sleep easily and a lot when he isn't well.
I get awoken by varied owies, it seems.
Nurse called to say she had dropped off some bandages I needed. There is a trouble spot on my right shin. Now it's just covered with gauze, but it's better to use a bandage because the compression stocking goes on better over it.
Husband went mid-aft to pick up the superstore order - at least that was I can make some choices! Never did a weekend one, but it's def worth the five bucks to have someone else do the shopping, the endless walking. Husband refuses to shop at RCSS in person... Not my fave either.
Take care and be safe, y'all!

where iz everybody?
Oh yeah, clocks messed up our internal clocks.
Well....it is a pretty semi-productive day here so far. A rather large roast beef got cooked up earlier ( medium rare this time ) ....I have often overcooked them thinking " oh it's still too red " but I ignored the voices this time.
As a result there is enough to slice off more than enough outer pieces for DH, leaving the pinker/redder parts for DS and moi!
Then because we have no real spuds left I mixed up a double batch of Yorkshire batter. It's chilling atm, will make those up closer to the dinner hour so they will be fresh and hot out of the oven. I should really post this in the dinner thread...oops ta ta !

Hi and a very good late afternoon to all of you!!!
Dad called me at lunch time.He really seems tired in his voice but it is normal after his big(very big to me0 surgery. He is in the healing unit.4 others persons in his room.He had tests for his lungs and everything is good, good news!!! He will probably wont be able to drive for a little moment but I will take care of the grocery with my aunt so that is okaie. He will probably have a nurse at home so this is why cleaning and sorted appart is very important.
He dont know when he will be out could be in 3-5 days or longer, depending on how much is heal.
I will kick my butt to do the grocery tomorrow afternoon and should be less people at the grocery so that is good!!!
Today I want the kitchen and the living room finish cleaning so I focus on that.
Dusting, broom and swiffer need to be done, this morning I did the living room table and 2 kitchen tables(dusting and decluttered, sorted all the papers)
My aunt(marraine) give me 1 portion of butternut squash ginger soup when she came with a mask of coase to take the 3 bags of clothes and shoes I had to donate to thrift store( vestiaires in QC) so more room for my fitted clothes now !!! And I shared dad news with her
Alright time to get back at my cleaning

Sleep 5 hours (its not much but it ok compared to no sleep.)The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!

Posting my newest project!
I wish the "depth" and sparkle would show up better...one over-pour and it'll be cured by Saturday, our DD's b'day! It's for camp...when she's curled up on the sofa at camp she needs a tray, so just wee extra gift.
Good morning!
Busy day, I hope everyone is doing well, had a lovely weekend, and remain safe.

good ( nearly afternoon ) all!
I was up, but busy, busy doing nada!
We had a fun Sunday ( which is saying plenty considering the crash and burn from the Leafs and Raptors games. We can only hope the Winnipeg Jets lose all of their games this week while the Leafs have their full week off. ( they are nipping at our heels in points )
Hope the week forward shows more promise of vaccinations for all. Have a great week everyone.
I baked these yesterday and had so much fun doing it.
