hello you 3 musketeers! ( cath007, GoJay and flemeth )
It is absolute mayhem here on our normally peaceful, quiet street.
The workers ( it's a major Hydro lines project ) who are digging up all the driveways ( just at the ends of them ) came to everyone's door before 7 a.m. to give the cautionary warning that if you needed to use your vehicle, get it out of the driveway now.
Otherwise it will stay there until after 3 p.m. They can only estimate how long the job will take.
Imagine that eh? I mean for the retired folks it's a meh? situation, but for essential workers this is a wrench tossed into the mix they don't need.
There is no where on the street to even park, even if you could duck out and try to place your vehicle somewhere other than your driveway.
What a SH*T show! Oh and to make things even more entertaining....it's recycle day!! Bins are being shuffled and moved about, these workers are jockeying with them so the garbage guys can see them!
bwahahahaha!!

Good morning!
Actually I have been awake for many hours already, eyes are getting sleepy so I hope to sleep a bit soon.
Yep, got our blizzard - winds here got to 85, Regina got around 120kph.
Not much snow really, just what the crazy winds did with it. Visibility was zero in many places - most of the highways were closed. Very glad the power didn't go out here.

Good morning!
It's interesting that in 2019 there were just over 22,000 deaths from regular flu..
..and in 2020, just over 15,000 deaths from covid.
Perhaps it was medical interventions that kept covid deaths lower than the year before?
Enjoy your day, everyone...hoping for that +14 today!!

The interventions were most certainly the reason for the lower death toll. There were almost no influenza deaths last year, because the same things that spread CoVid are the same things that spread influenza.

Well, mischievous Preeda learned a new trick.....she pulled out the 2 drawers of the very heavy bedside table on our DD's side of the bed, and tipped the whole thing over!
Thank goodness the mirrors on the front of it diidnt break, I doubt they could be matched!
Anyway...a day...night in the life of Preeda. Lol!

It's unfortunate when our lives separated us from friends from our past, but it's a fact of life, A passing. I had a high school friend touch base with me years ago...we visited them, they visited us, but she never got past our high school years despite her and her Husband's successful careers. I stopped taking her calls. I look forward, she stayed in the past.
Sometimes people ended up in the past for good reason...you mayvhave moved in different directions.
As to your Dad, recovery is extremely frustrating. It's sometimes 1 step forward, 2 steps back. He has a lot to deal with right now...when we get sick we become very aware that we're not in charge, that as much as we think we are, something can hit us without warning and knock us down.
I don't know how old your Dad is, but he can be struggling with a lot of thoughts.
It'll take time, be patient, go for walks (shirt ones that dont tire him out), drives...he'll get there, it just takes time. 😊

Good morning!
Happy Wacky Wednesday!
Have been up for hours, just took meds and had a very early breakfast - I was do hungry, I only had toast for supper yesterday since I was feeling very nauseated. Hoping that stays away today...
No damage here from the big storm, were even lucky that our power didn't go out, even though an area just a few blocks away did. Weather will go back to normal spring weather here - anything goes!
Got a letter from the provincial health authority that I have been designated as "clinically extremely vulnerable", so that letter is like a pass so I could get the vaccine no matter what age level was currently being vaccinated.
Two things odd about this - as of yesterday, people 60+ could get the shot, so I could have made an appt without this letter. Secondly, I cannot get to a vaccination location. I have to wait until they are doing homebound people.
Interesting, eh?
Hoping all of you are doing great!

I had no idea she was so talented, they are beautiful and show so many different techniques! Plus, the photo looks like it came from a magazine!
