Back at camp visiting with the kids and their friends, a couple from the Sault who left their little girl in our city, moved into a house with friends, for her 2nd year of university...so tough to leave baby girl behind. 😥 The good bit is she has us all there for dinners, visits, so she's not really alone

It's lovely cool here, but we're all anticipating a fire and scotch evening, lol.

OH GOOD HEAVENS, DD just came in for afterbite...another wasp sting! What a welt! She leaned on a sofa cushion and wham! Poor muffin, it's so painful...of course she takes it with an "oh, well..were at camp!" spirit. Good heavens.

Lol...she got one last weekend, too.
Wasps are fine, they don't intentionally attack people, but if they suspect they're the ones getting attacked, like trying to snuggle one into an outdoor sofa, they'll defend themselves. She's fine, my Friend. 🤗

So guess which MLB team was down 8-2 in the 6th? The same team who's starting pitcher dinged 2 batters in a row in the 4th ( I think it was the 4th ) ....and also guess which MLB team hit a grand slam to tie that game 8-8 in the 8th??
Give up? One more question....which team let that opponent go ahead 10-8 in the top of the 9th but then turned around and broke their hearts with a 3 run HR in the bottom the the 9th to win!!???

Yup....our liddle ole Blue jays did all of that. What a ride of a game. Watch the highlights on Jays in 30.....so worth the recap.

Good day everyone!

It's games day here at camp, about 30 duo teams playing a series of four games (sitting washer-toss, ladderball, frisbee-bucket toss, and corn-hole), started at 11am, just broke for lunch, then 2 more rounds this afternoon. It's so great to be able to all be together again, chatting, cheering, so different from last year! Our 2 kids are paired up with their friends from the Sault...they're all having a blast! Hubby and are are cheering, lol.
We hope the rain continues to hold off!

Had no choice but to sleep after supper, so I am up all night, thank goodness the tablet was charged. Husband slept when I did, but now he has slept all night, too. Lucky!

Our son is heading to BC next week, away for over a week. His best friend moved from here to Prince George last year - it's in the north. Milan hasn't been to BC, has seen the mountains from Camrose AB, but he wants badly to make this trip.

Of course, as a mom I am worried, on two points - he is going alone and, secondly, he is going in a truck which he will just have finished fixing in the next few days. He did a Frankenstein's monster thingee, fixed up his truck with things from a parts truck he had bought. I know he wouldn't take it if he weren't safe, but we have offered our vehicle... Oh, and I know that driving through the mountains is not easy for a first-timer.
Oh, I am sure he will be fine - he is almost 30 after all!

Nat-I have driven to Prince George and the highway is quite good. Your son is very lucky to drive through Jasper etc and hopefully see some wildlife.

Oh how wonderful! @Natalka that DS is heading out on a road adventure. I'll bet this is just what he needs with all the covid life we have all endured. Positive thoughts on his vehicle and his journey.
@Lynn49 those games sound so entertaining and what a way for campers to bond with each other. Hope the team ( DD and SIL ) you are cheering on wins!!

I made some pizza for the 3rd and final Blue Jays game today at 1 p.m. Oakland Athletics....who'd a thunk we would have taken the first 2 from them?? Fingers crossed for the sweep!

Oh just for giggles, I will post Hamlet ( again...sorry ) but he insists on lying RIGHT here to my left as I try to type, and he keeps purposely rolling slightly off the edge of the desk because he knows I'll push my arm over to block him from falling.

@Natalka , the owners organized this event and it was such a success that they'll do it again next year!
Our kids will always be tots to us; even our DD, now 44 is still a little girl to me. She tolerates it...LOL!! Your Son will be fine but I know you won't relax until you hear from him that he's safely at his friend's home. The nice thing is, is that we can bother them by texting anytime we want to check up on them!!!
@walkonby , my two girls came in 3rd which was so great because there sure were some competitive teams out there....um....like my girls! Hahaha!

We came home today...it was threatening rain again, and the traffic off the island and back into town tomorrow will be a convoy!! The kids decided to stay and will be home tomorrow.
