Good afternoon all and a sincere TGIF!
I am BUSHED! headed out just after 8;30 to get gas and to visit both NF and GT.
My carts runneth over at both shops.
GT tempted me with some fun Xmas pj style T-Shirts, I chose the one that said Holiday Baking Team.....
with the all important " Tester " written just below that.
A few more stocking stuffer type items for DD, DH's favourite choc. covered almonds, some brown sugar...it all adds up fast.

Then at NF it just seemed everything had great sales on them. I followed my list of course but " this and that " got tossed into the cart and before I knew it there I was struggling to push it through the parking lot to load in the vehicle.

I was unaware that not all NF carry alcohol, so that meant a stop at the LCBO in the same strip mall.
DH needs a 6 pack if we're going to watch the Grey Cup.....he says he is only watching to see the Arkells perform at half time. uh...o.k. then.
My was I ever grateful DS was available ( as in not asleep ) when I pulled into the driveway. He told me to go inside and he'd bring it all in. I am good at following those kinds of orders.

Finally into my recliner and very content when about a half hour ago the doorbell rang.
Unbelievable and incredibly fast CS from Staples.ca
Around 5 p.m. last night I ordered more ink cartridges and a new virus protection disc thingy ( yeah, I know I could have renewed online but I prefer to have the actual thing and install it )

Free delivery ( bonus! ) and very fast service saved me the aggravation of searching around the aisles in the store.

I just realized I've had zip, zero, zilch cups of coffee today! better brew one fast before my body goes into shock.....hee hee

Happy Sunday all

Yesterday we had a very heavy wind storm. There was No power for more than 3 hours . Lucky for me I had a book to read on Libby. It was such a drag. But it got restored in time for Hockey game so dinner was simple food.

No - NoFrills here, but thank you, @flemeth . Also thanks for the giggle "such a drag", lol...straight from the 60s! I used "It was the bomb!" one day and our DD laughed and said I was sure dating myself! Another 60s reference!

Enjoy the day, everyone...we have heavy winds here, but nice and sunny for anyone still on the hunt for gifts.

Our temps will be heading up to +10 by the end of the week!
Now that's Christmas!!

Well!!

I never thought I'd say this about a new (to me) group, but I really like the Arkells!! The lyrics must be very uplifting to the young generation, at least that's how I heard them....and of course they have a really good drummer! Nothing like Gene Krupa, but he's young, time to improve, lol!

^^^ ha ha @Lynn49 that was another reason DH tuned into the Grey Cup....one of his favourite groups is the Arkells ( and btw, DH is not that young anymore ).
The 2 of us were so pumped at the Tiger Cats lead before half time came....then the music and then OMG, those Bombers did what they did and our jaws were left on the carpet.
These 2 teams faced each other in 2019....but I must have been distracted as I have no Grey Cup memory.
Maybe I was nursing a covid worry brain then.
That makes this so harsh for Hamilton to have lost to the same freaking team AND in their home stadium? How cruel can things get? ( says the die hard Leafs fan who keeps thinking they'll win the Cup! )
My deepest condolences to all Hamilton TiCat fans.
