I agree on the Chicken Breasts, we have been exclusively buying at Costco for a couple of years now. If we are putting Chicken in something I can cut it up into chunks and one feeds 2 of us vs last time I got on sale elsewhere, I had to use 2 to 3 chicken breasts. Not to mention I find there is a lot less waste, I do not have to trim Costco Chicken Breast but elsewhere I need to trim.

Same thing last year we bought a Roast at Costco to cut into Strips and Chunks for cooking, there was so little waste on the one from Costco vs when I buy them locally on sale about 1/4 of it is waste we end up cutting off. I will pay a little more to have less waste as it really does balance out.

For example, Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast is almost the same price at both, but Costcos is much tastier and doesn't shrink so much (So I need less for a meal). So even if someone had it on sale, I would STILL buy it from Costco.

So for almost ALL produce and meat, I am willing to spend the more at Costco to get something I will personally enjoy more, get more meals out of, and not end up throwing out because it goes bad/tasteless.

We don’t have a Costco within an hour of here and now we don’t even have a Freshco. Looove their fresh food prices - and No Frills would match them. Luckily the RCSS that services this area matches pretty much everyone (including GT- but the No Frills won’t match FB)- but these companies are sooo sneaky - they may not carry the same brand of milk that is on sale or, in the case of berries etc, they don’t have the same size of package. Even ran into an issue the other day - Food Basics had broccoli on for .88 ea - RCSS said they sell theirs by the lb - so would not match.

    Hello everyone!

A very belated thank you for all the birthday greetings, much appreciated!

Gee. I just got on finally and got the warning of low battery, so I can't write out the tome I need to!

Glad to know you are all busy and well. I am neither...
Milan had COVID last week - just a horrid, terrible cold - but it sure hurt that I couldn't mother him! It lasted six days for him, so ended up missing four days of work - and, of course, no sick days...

Will try be back as soon as I can to get y'all caught up.
    Love 💖😘 to you all!

Good morning my friends! I see that itÂ’s still winter as trying to snow and thereÂ’s still ice in some places!!
Not impressed with the few who donÂ’t salt their sidewalk. ItÂ’s challenging to navigate but I continue on!
Great to see @Natalka posting! Belated birthday wishes and rejoicing with you that your Son is better.
I have a million and one things to do inside and my lack of interest is not helping. Bottom line I do what absolutely needs to be done and then take it from there. Spacing out doing stuff also helps as is my cat whom I use as an excuse.
Finally on Friday I hope Frankie Feathers is having a Fabulous day of Fun and Frivolity!
As you may have already Figured out.My post is brought to you by the letter “F” (not that word, just the letter!)
Have a great day and enjoy the weekend!

My Girl Friday at the local RCSS told me that they will match other brands for produce and milk, because there are so many different producers. So, I can price-match for Beatrice / Dairyland / Lucerne interchangeably. I believe that I also read it in their policy terms (but it is up to their discretion.)

With regards to the broccoli and sizing, an argument can be made for a price appearing per kilogram or per pound. Refusing to match a price simply because it was quoted in kg instead of lb is just silly and I have successfully challenged stores. Selling by unit as opposed to weight is a little trickier, but still possible, in my experience. In your example, items like broccoli are often sold in one-pound bundles. If you can show that weight and unit are interchangeable, you might get your match. It may take some effort and a sympathetic ear, but I have gotten results. I have been successful with items such as honeydew and cantaloupe.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

    Happy Saturday all

Was planning on going out for a walk but I would not chance it because it’s very icy out. So it will be a Netflix day. I got hooked on watching Better call Saul

    Have great day everyone
