Our trip to Chatham yesterday was very lovely. First- DH was feeling up to it and we had a great lunch with his sister and BIL and then went to see his mum. She recognized him right away and called him ,"Her beautiful boy!" We thought that since he had lost his hair and grown a beard, that she might not be able to "place" him as she gets very confused at times. But she just wanted to kiss him and hold his hand and chat , chat,chat about how lovely it was to see him!
It was a heartwarming meeting and made him feel as great as she seemed to feel!
My brothers and SIL and one of my nephews came today. (My other nephew was at a training session with his mission team that will go to Colombia for the March Break.)
DH slept in through our lunch but then joined us. We laughed and shared stories and traded gifts - a lovely arrangement of flowers arrived from another friend.
I admired the sweater my SIL was wearing only to find that they had given me the same sweater in a different colour. It's very nice - a purple cowl neck with a white and green snowflake pattern across the front.
I also got a lovely scarf I can wear in the spring, a pair of earrings and a Boston Pizza gc.
My other brother gave me an amazon gift card and a lovely birthday card.
I'm so lucky! It was so wonderful to see them!
