Some memes just tickle the funny bone, this one did it for me this morning.
It was so mild out today that I FINALLY removed the 12 oversized Christmas balls that we had hanging from the branches of our apple tree. We couldn't get at them sooner because all the snow had been piled on the lawn.....and even when it started melting we STILL couldn't get them off because we are lazy! lol.
Have a wonderful day all!

Good morning!!
New fridge day! Okay, not earth shattering, but it'll be nice to have a freezer again.
Rain, all temps above 0 all week, and gosh we've lost a lot of snow! Our Christmas deer out front: last week the snow was half-way up their bodies, now legs are almost all uncovered! The patio's clear of snow and ice, can it really be happening? Is winter finally on its last legs?!
Enjoy the weekend, everyone.

Congratulations on the fridge @Lynn49 it’s funny how things like that are exciting as we get older
@walkonby that meme is hilarious!
By the sounds of everyone out east with the snow for what seems like the last 10 months I’m so glad I live out west!!!! We had snow but obviously nothing like you guys. Mind you kwe also had heat domes followed by atmospheric rivers and artic deep freezes but still I can’t complain unless it’s about wanting to see the sun lol.
Cleaning the car, washing the floors, going to the bank today. Woohoo. Party central over here.

Yes, life in the fast lane, @harbie ! Delirious with excitement, lol. Still.....I always feel sad for cars and appliances that have to leave; am I the only one who feels that way? I anthropomorphize inanimate objects and feel sad for them. No, I'll check myself in when I'm good and ready!
I am losing an exercise though, Harbie...I used to have to open the fridge door for ice water, now ice and water are outside! How am I to replace that arm exercise and body twist for water?! Falling apart here.....
As for weather, it was a sunny, gorgeous +14 yesterday and a drizzly, grey +3 today but boy does it feel cold! We're taking our GS to Montana's because no one wants to cook tonight lol...kids and another couple at CasinoRama for a girls' spa weekend; we watched Turning Red 2 nights ago, really a cute family movie featuring Toronto!, so we'll introduce him to Murder in Provence this evening, hahaha! He's enjoyed Poirot.....he'll likely enjoy our new binge-worthy series.
Toodles everyone, have a lovely evening!Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Mar 19th, 2022 at 02:41 PM.

@Lynn49 guess you’ll have to adapt your exercise to include more twisting and bending when you open, pour and drink either wine, beer or both .
I too feel emotional for inanimate objects. Remember the Ikea commercial about the lamp that was put out on the curb. I felt so sad for it

Omgosh, yes @harbie !! That pathetic little lamp!! Sad? I think I had tears!! Imagine.
What about when "Raymond" dies in Princess and the Frog?! Our DD's the same. Pathetic. And anything with animals. I can't watch Dr Poll....nothing like that, and I'm a guilt-ridden carnivore!
Ok.....now back to the Gonzaga game.....oh...and I did my best arm lifting a wineglass this evening.Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Mar 19th, 2022 at 11:54 PM.

you two must stop! @Lynn49 and @harbie that Ikea ad did it to me too! What's wrong with us?
Hrmph.....now that I ponder on it, we're fine. I'm convinced it's the non-feelers who don't get all choked up that have the issues.
So we're on Sunday now.... yeah, last night DH and I put ourselves though our regular Saturday night torture of watching the Maple Leafs implode!
This is having a rather negative impact on DH because when he's at work they win and the games are fast paced, phenomenal and sometimes a record is set or a player's " first " something-or-other is achieved.
Then when at home they crash and burn while he squirms in his recliner. Did you catch the empathy I have for him?
Nothing huge on the agenda this weekend....we are " maybe " gearing up to do our first dine-out restaurant dinner since 2019. We've reserved a table for Easter Sunday, which I have categorized as my Cheat Day. Just the 3 of us as we're too worried about inviting anyone not in our bubble, that means
our other 2 kids....sorry guys.
However, if anything changes before Easter covid wise, or if the restrictions start getting tightened up again, we'll bail, cancel the dine-in and order take-out ( again! ).
Enjoy what remains of your Sunday!!

@Lynn49 I’m such a sap. When we had to have our car in for the diesel gate fix and she had to be there all day I was sad to leave her (yes our car is a she ). I also got sad when I had to sell my last car, and don’t get me started on anything animal related!
@walkonby normally I would say I’m just sensitive but now at my age it’s also hormonal )
I hope your dining out goes smoothly. The only times we have eaten in a restaurant was after we got our shots and the passports were added. Plus we also went during the off times (there were only 2 or 3 tables and they were super spread out with plexiglass) like when we went to cactus for my parents anniversary. They hadn’t been out since 2019 and we went at 11am when they opened, sat outside in the covered patio and we were the only people there. We had the whole patio to ourselves and we of course wore our masks when going to wash our hands.
Have a great time!

Oh, @harbie , all cars are shes. Who else is ready at all hours to take us places, pick us up, keep us warm or cool while doing that?...never asks for thanks, just stands on guard for her family...a "she". Hmph.
I've always been soft, as they used to say in the olden days...too sensitive, emotional, too caring. I was not made of sterner stuff, lol. Still like that, but I've learned to exhibit a cooler exterior.
We've been ordering out, but took our GS to Montana's on Saturday. Awful food, loud, watered-down drink, likely not a drop of alcohol in it, people who can't properly use a knife and fork, who talk with food in their mouths, kids misbehaving, and yes I get that it's just a pub, but I also know I'll never go into a place like that again! Like @WALK inby, I'm a very good cook and baker, as is my Hubby, and frankly I'm not easily impressed with restaurant food. It's just a convenience, a break from cooking. Eating out isn't a treat and besides I'm not kidding when I say I'm happier at home. With family. I don't get that " eating out" stuff. Likely my age, been there, done it, ate it, lol....did the partying thing....I guess we get more settled, in a very good way.
Ok! Gingerly stepping off my podium and returning to the NCAA games.
Sweet dreams, everyone!
