and a good morning to whoever is awake! So the Oilers are done. Now the Avalanche wait to see if those pesky Tampa Bay buggers can win Game 4 to tie it up with the Rangers. Is winning a three-peat of the Stanley Cup really fair? No one wants to see that, well maybe Floridians.

The library book I had placed a hold on is available for P.U. It's for DH actually, he claims his grandparents names are mentioned in it.....we'll see. Have a good one all!

Good morning!

Still dull and dreary, but Hubby and I hope to assemble a big, tall bird feeder tree-looking thing with lots of brackets to hang feeders, water dish, little treat bowls for orioles and butterflies and a baffle which, we hope, discourages squirrels. We'll see, but a fun project!

So just a lazy day, no more silly UK anniversary pomp so the news is less cluttered with it all, knitting more torques now that I bought more yarn yesterday.

Yucky news from my opthamologist yesterday...looks like cataract surgery is in my futures soon as I decide when to have it!
And the icing on the cake, I may have glaucoma!
On the upside, my recent laser surgery on my eyes was successful.

Life just keeps getting more exciting as the years go by, but these are annoyances, not fatal, so moving right along......

My Mom had both eyes done also, so I'm not as scared of that as I am of being diagnosed with glaucoma....that's some serious stuff so he's keeping an eye on it. These eyes sure have needed a lot of attention lately!

@Lynn49 so sorry to hear that you didn’t get great news from the ophthalmologist. My sister in law did cataract surgery a few months ago and she is fine .

Good morning all. @Lynn49 , I've not known anyone who has needed cataract surgery or has glaucoma...so I'm not sure anything I can say would really add much to how you're feeling...other than this...

Oh stop it, @walkonby ! Lol! Yes, past my bedtime for sure. Stupid hockey game. I went to sleep sad.

Thank you @flemeth , @danger_dan , @walkonby in your email, for your thoughts...honestly, these eyes!! I'll see my opthamologist in 2 months so I'll give him the go-ahead for my two eye cataracts, hopefully before Christmas or I'll fashion a decorative pirate eyepatch! Hah!
As for glaucoma, it's the scary one, so a wait and keep checking situation.

It's so nice to see the sunshine again after a few dull, drizzly days!! And...a beautiful weekend for our GS's b'day dinner for family and friends at camp! I made his card, will bake the 2 layers for his requested chocolate-strawberry cake, freeze them and use my marshmallow fluff frosting recipe at camp with fresh strawberry glaze on Saturday.

The birdfeeder stand wasn't attacked by a bear overnight, lol, so I'll do some sitting outside later today...after my chiro appt, manicure, cake-baking, envelope making for the card, packing for the trip to camp tomorrow. So sometime near my bedtime, I'm guessing, hahaha!
