Good day my friends! Although the calendar says September it sure feels like August with the heat
and humidity! I got back from my walk/shop prior to 10 and it was already toasty out! Cold plate dinner tonight!
Thankful to be back posting on SC, it’s been awhile!
Can’t quite wrap my head around Chuck being king. Queen Elizabeth is all we’ve ever known and will be a tough act to follow.
First week of school now wrapped up.

Happy Saturday

I am back to being busy Volunteering at our local School . So had a busy week getting into routine. I did really missed what I loved to do . So happy that I made the decision to get back into it. I am still wearing a mass but lots of the Teachers and students had enough of it.

@flemeth sounds like you are exactly where you are needed and since you get so much emotional reward from it....carry on!
My morning was a quickie gas trip to Shell ( hooray for their 1 day only promo! 50 BAM earned ) , followed by an in and out to WalMart,
Got money back ( Scop ) on produce ( kiwi's ) and boxes of Instant mashed, so it still pays to check those receipts before I waddle out of the store.
Did anyone catch that waddle description? I've managed put a few pounds back on since early August....BUT, it is under control once again as yesterday I started right back on what I had been following.

lesson learned ( again ) .......cannot slip into taking larger portions, plus desserty goodness along with the odd alcoholic drink for 2+ weeks and expect my body to ignore it.

Hello, @walkonby ...will email you later, but just caught your comment about gas...we're going to miss filling up the car on the island at the stations on the reserves...today we filled up at 144.7 there, although it was a fairly reasonable 155.9 here when we got home. Geez!!! Did I say reasonable? I remember gas prices of .80+- and that wasn't too long ago. Funny how things become acceptable.

We've packed up the RV...unpacked?...anyway we're home until next May which is fine although as you mentioned, @Skippy , it was a little tough to leave this time with the temp somewhere around 28 or so! But I'll need the next 9 months to recuperate from all the deck-hopping that goes on, lol...all the 'sips' of drinks on ours and neighbours' decks, the parties on top of that, plus the events...I need rest now!!!
