Oh dear @walkonby sorry to read that you and DH share everything it seems! Unfortunate too that you lost your toque on the first wear. It is indeed a smooth and crunchy day outside today! At least you didn’t go down with it!
I got a wee walk in earlier when the wind was howling but before the freezing rain and snow. I felt sorry enough for myself but then remembered the homeless and hoped they would find a way to deal with it.
How very sad that this is so widespread and I am afraid it’s going to get worse! Man do I sound depressing! Sorry folks it was not my intent.
In other news I was asking DD about sending Christmas cards only to find out that it went out with the dinosaurs.Anyhow we still send them and like to get them.
Keep safe and warm my friends! Be the blessing you would have others be to you!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Nu-uh, @ GoJays, finders keepers!
Actually we’re not much better off here, windy, flurries, about 5cm, Hubby said. At least we’re not getting the 20-30cm like ThunderBay! Yikes!
Stay off the roads as much as you can….we had our Drs app today and so many police and ambulance sirens!
be careful, Friends.
@walkonby , so happy your guests will find their way to the party! Probably because of your cooking and baking!

@Skippy Some years I've embraced Grinch-like behaviours sending no cards out, but this year it was the opposite. Got them signed, addressed and mailed last week.
Now I have an excuse to hang out at the mailbox each day looking for replies.

We JUST now had our power restored! I was in mid typing mode at 6:15 and out it went! Good thing I have so many battery operated Christmas ornaments which provided me with some light. I went up and slept for 2 hours, came back down and all of a sudden it came back on!! Hooray.

This cold I caught is a doozy! So much sneezing....and sleeping. No really! I cannot believe how many times yesterday I simply dozed off and woke up 2 hours later.
Well the resting part is how my body get over this I suppose. I'm in the process of pressure cooking up a whack of the most gorgeous looking long beef ribs.
I'll try to snap a photo when they are all done. This is the main event for the joint b'day celebration tomorrow.
The other foods that I made ( appy's and a few main and side dishes ) are still awesome but nothing compares to these ribs....I mean if you are a carnivore.
Update: Here they are!

Good morning. No snow like they predicted but I’m ok with that. Maybe it’s still coming

I can personally attest to the amazing, deep flavours of those ribs @walkonby makes! I made her recipe and it was definitely drool-worthy! Enjoy your dual birthday party today,Walks!
We’re having a pre-Christmas day at the kids’ today, lots of appys there, plus I made some I can have with the GF ones our DD has, gifts for Grandson…games, and lots o& rest tomorrow.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
