woo hoo! Venezuela went undefeated and is 4-0 in the WBC! Guess who is on that Venezuela team? Jose Altuve!!! lol


Now they face the undefeated Champs, Team USA ( start the booing!! lol ) in the Quarter final tonight. Now DH and I have 2 events to enjoy!
Leafs game and the WBC. Better clear my throat and get my Pom Poms ready.

Happy last day of Winter!!! I'm trusting the calendar does not lie.Also DW tells me that the geese are back claiming their nests by the Walmart parking lot so it's gotta be Spring tomorrow! Certainly not today with that windchill and some wee snow.

I am sick to my stomach, but not just because the USA defeated the Venezuelan team yesterday in the WBC, it's more because my heart player ( Jose Altuve ) got hit by a pitch and left the game, only to find out now he is out for 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb! I want to scream!!



Well the Leafs made us suffer through NINE players in a shootout before Kerfoot buried the puck past the Senator goalie for the win. I have silly bragging rights and DH was annoyed that I got it so right on every guess! BEFORE each Leaf player came up to try ( after the obvious top 3 of them failed ) I named every one correct! I was running out of shooters, but then said Kerfoot! He'll do it, and up came Kerfoot! DH already thinks I am a witch, this didn't help my case. lol.

Good almost afternoon Jays and flemeth. It's clear only to me that DH and I are soon to be in one of those one step forward, two steps back situations. The vehicle....ugh! New in 2015, now has over 300,000 kms on it. ( imho work travel has caused this! retire already! ) oops sorry that rant was meant for DH. This mornings latest repair/service will see me fork over $900.00, because IT CAN NEVER just be an oil change can it?
I absolutely DREAD going into the showroom and being taken advantage of, ( again ) because we will get taken advantage of. I refuse to buy any used vehicle because it seems like inheriting someone else's problems. No vehicle knowledge at all, so we are always at the mercy of mechanics. More $$ will be coming out of our account, maybe not this week, but eventually.
Sorry, I am in a mood!

Date night fixed my mood! All on GC's gratis from the kids. Went to the show to see 65 ( movie with Adam Driver ) , got free admissions, and popcorn. Then went to Scaddabush after...
Delightful! My entree was oh so yummy! Called Zucca Ravioli, nom, nom.... It was roasted butternut squash & pear, brown butter Alfredo, hazelnut butter, Poor man’s Parmesan, fried sage. Add on was grilled chx pieces. DH got Chx Parm and Caesar. Tiramisu and cheesecake after, I also sipped on an Italian coffee. So nice when the GC covers the cost, so we left our lovely server a healthy tip.
Forgot all about the darn vehicle for a short while at least....ha ha
